I was a little concerned about pervious negative reviews of the hotel, but my wife and I had an amazing time at Carre Noir. The hotel is located on the hillside overlooking the magnificently beautiful Santa Giulia Bay, and is a five minute drive from Palombaggio Beach and 10 minutes from Porto Vecchio. Most of the staff were not perfectly polished English speakers, but certainly enough to communicate, and all were extremely friendly and helpful with restaurant suggestions, maps of the local are.
