A fabulous view and a warm welcome. Nothing too much trouble for the lovely staff. My daughter got an extra croissant and I got extra coffee at breakfast and the location is first class. My daughter described it as the best hotel she has ever stayed in... and I would tend to agree that it is up there with the best. Very nice reception and well isolated rooms from external noise. But you hear everything from your neighbors.

The female desk clerk was very special and was a delight to speak with each morning.This hotel has personality,very french and quaint,but very modern and comfortable too,the perfect mix. You feel like you are in the heart of Paris. The views of Paris,especially Notre Dame are wonderful.Location was perfect. We were visiting friends in the Paris suburbs and could hop the RER regional train repeatedly because the entrace was across the street from hotel. Also, the view of Notre Dame was magical. Several late-night restaurants within yards of the hotel. Location was perfect with easy access to all areas of Paris and directly across from RER. Lively area for dining and drinking therefore slightly noisy at night however rooms are airconditioned. Bedroom standard 4 Star plus. The location for sight seeing and access to trains and busses could not be better.The view from our room of the Notre Dame was awesum. It was excellent. Next time we stay only at the hotel de notre damesaint michel. Perfect location. Looked directly onto the Seine and Notre Cathedral. Great location!! There are lots of restaurants nearby, very close to all attractions, we almost did everything on foot. Although we had a room with no view at the Notre Dame, it was a nice room. Big enough for the two of us, bathroom was ok, we had a refrigerator in the room. We would stay here again!. Convenience and view. Excelent view of the Notre Dame Cathedral. Very near the quartier latin restaurants.Absolutly perfect location. The location of the hotel being close to the Notre Dame Cathedral and within walking distance of the Louvre, Musee D'Orsay and many other interesting landmarks is excellent. Also within walking distance of the Saint Michel metro which has a direct link to the Charles De Gaulle Airport by train makes it very accessible . Also within close proximity to many good restauarants in the Latin Quarter.The location was excellent, and I loved pushing up the skylight and looking out over the rooftop to the Seine and Notre Dame. There's a slightly quirky feel to this hotel that I loved. More for people wanting a Paris experience rather than someone looking for a plush room with the latest services though. And older travellers may have problems. We had a corner bedroom which was next to the River Seine and Notre Dame. We couldn't have wished for a better view and excellent location. The room had windows which opened on each side and when shut, there was no noise.The room was gorgeous and the view was worth the price tag (and more probably). The room was small but the renovation very well designed and well presented. Loved it. Fantastic location and view, as promised, of the Seine and Notre Dame. Just came out from RER coming from airport , and the first thing we notice was the name of our Hotel facing Notre Dame.Once again , genial location. Excellent location and convenient access to transport. Not your run of the mill modern hotel.It is right in the heart of the Latin Quarter. The street is busy until very late. The room overlook the river Seine and Notre Dame De Paris. Great location and the Metro is just across the road. Everthing is just within walking distance. La situacion / The placement. Would have liked to have found a family room, so that I could take my husband and son there too!!!. Isolation in between rooms. The 7 euro breakfast was boring but cheap as far as prices go. the breakfast was not so good, just a roll and a croissant with some jams. I would have liked to have something else on the side, maybe cheese or ham and a yoghurt. I would have wanted to see a folder with useful information about the hotel and the city, now there was no info in the room.Yes, as we are over 60 we found we had no porter available to help us with our luggage as there is 15 steep steps to the reception area. We felt bad having to ask receptionist to help us,which she did, but she had to leave desk unattended as she had no one to fill her place. Yes, When I arrived I saw a lot of steps to go up to the reception. At the entrance they don't have lift!. prefer to have a stand-up shower. Breakfast is rather basic. There was not Internet at the rooms!!!!. I thought that the staff could have been a little more friendly and welcoming. While I liked hearing the hustle and bustle of the city sounds from my hotel room, others may not.As mentioned in some reviews, there are stairs up to reception, the lift is tiny, you have to turn on the lights in the corridor as you go (on the floor I was on), and the shower, wallpaper and furniture were a little on the eccentric side. But it’s an experience I will remember for some time with fondness, whereas the more standard hotels in many countries I visit are far less memorable. The room could do with at least a fan if not airconditioning for those rare hot days.As with many European hotels, lots of stairs to drag up my bags before reaching reception. The breakfast was poor: croissant/roll stale and coffee not what one expects in Paris. No tea/coffee making vacility. Walls are paper thin. No proper shower facility, we prefer a full shower to a bath. The bathroom was just thinly partitioned from the room, so just as well we knew each other! Description said the room overlooked the "courtyard", all we could see was other windows and the external air con ducts.room was a little over priced considering the size of bath and room. The rooms are not that small but not big enough, even so , the beds are small.A/C not very effective and noisy if the windows were left open at night. Prefer a shower to a bath. I checked in at night. The guy at the reception was not very welcoming or helpful. I asked whether they have an iron, he replied NO. I was surprised that a hotel does not have an iron!!!. There is no proper place for breakfast, you just have it behind the reception in an area which looks more like a lobby/ waiting area to read newspaper. The waitress was doing a job that she would rather not do. Wifi did not work. Even they tried to convince me it was working, andwas not true. Small, old, room in the fifth floor, stairs too narrow.
