I had the best time 4 days at Chateau de Crécy. Besides being so close to Saint Emilion and other great places of interest, the family who owns it is very friendly, helpful and really cares that you have a wonderful time. They own the vineyard and produce their own kinds of Bordeaux wines (red, white and rosé). I even got to walk among the vines,

The hosts' hospitality was phenomenal. Glass of wine as welcome. We also booked the dinner option (to be recommended) and the hosts had invited an English speaking friend and there was an English speaking Russian couple as well. The food (dinner and breakfast) was superb but we probably didn't give it the attention it deserved because we were so busy talking. We also had plenty of the excellent 'housewine'. It actually isn't a castle in that sense, it is a working winery. They are all called 'C
