Breakfast is served in a very nice room with fresh fruit and pastries, yoghurt, juice, hot drinks. The staff is exceptional and very willing to help in any way. We used Avignon as our base to travel all around Provence and felt we were returning to a quiet home estate at the end of each day. A 15-10 minute stroll into the centre of Avignon and lovely restaurants nearby. Breakfast was good, the fruit bread was - The owner, Mairie, was wonderful - came out to lead our car in after we had gotten hopelessly lost in Avignon's narrow, confusing streets. She was helpful in countless ways and was a gracious host. Our breakfasts were more than we expected: the usual coffee, juice and croissants, and cheeses, figs from her garden, jams and yogurt. We'd head back again in an instant!
