Our broken restroom door was fixed after we complained about - but we had to do it twice. We had a broken stereo that would blaze at full volume every time we entered the room and placed our access card in the slot - this was rectified.
Excellent in every way: the view from the suite, hotel staff, service, excellent food. Wonderful hospitality. Can't wait to return.

Location is the key for this place. On top of it looking immaculate all the time. The breakfast is great as well. All in all, a fantastic hotel!
Style of hotel: beautifully designed, breathing luxury. The views on the bund and skyline from the Shanghai suite are unforgettable.
No bar (no gintonic..) no restaurant, very few restaurants in the neighbourhood. Actually, it is a 5-star bed and breakfast..

Design, art work, location, very friendly & helpful staff, calm, serene, quiet lounge, excellent food. Corner room(1207) well equipped(power drapes, fruit basket, music, wifi), great view, including from tub!.

Location, rooms design and bund view were amazing. Staff is very nice and helpful.
Internet connection was poor, disconnects regularly and slow. Breakfast has limited items. There are separate tables in the restaurants but not so many. When those tables are full, you will have to sit on a very big table on which many guests sit with u... This was not suitable for us.

The staff were excellent [eg Concierge, Reception]:- very attentive and considerate, and superbly helpful. The facilities were also very pleasing, and the location was ideal. The view from our room was exactly as we had wished for. Overall, we would be delighted to be able to return.

Excellent location, trendy rooms. I had that room with the only window in the bathroom. It was not bad, although for some travellers it may be a minus. Concierge service was also on the top level. Price bites but taking into consideration hotel's location and design it is worth the money You pay.
It is not a minus but breakfast was really the same. It was not bad - enough of fruits and other staff. But still could be better.:-).
The staff (particularly Yumi at the front desk) were incredibly helpful and offered great advice for activities to do while in Shanghai. My group was ripped off by a taxi driver early in our trip, and she helped us through the process of locating the taxi driver/company and making a complaint. This hotel was an oasis in a city that was otherwise not my favorite.
The style of the rooms; the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff; the very nice hotel lounge which serves free tea, coffee and home-baked biscuits all day, and is very well patronised by residents.
The hotel is quite a long way from the Metro and we had heavy bags so it was quite a schlep to get there. When we left we took a taxi and that was very sensible.

We initially booked a suite with river view but when we arrived the room was not ready so they upgraded the room to the "elite suite". The apartment, at the 21st floor, is awesome (124 sqm) and offers a 180deg view on the bund and shanghai skyline.
Everything was perfect during they stay.
However, just that the corridors and rooms were a little dim.
The hotel is almost perfect.
The breakfast is not sufficiently diversified so if I stay there for more than 1 night, I will have to eat every morning the same things.
The location is really really amazing! Just right beside the Bund! The decoration of the whole hotel is very delicate with high taste.
I do not like the furniture in the guest room.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The Concierge, Nicholas knows everything. He provided excellent recommendations for dining, made the reservations and provided directions. There are great dining options close to the hotel. The complimentary tea and coffee and cookies in the lounge 24 hours was a god -send after a day out in the Shanghai heat. The breakfast range was extensive and plentiful. The hotel is spacious, well-serviced and very comfortable. the view onto the bund and across to Pudong is amazing. I would highly recommend this hotel.
The Decor was fantastic !
Absolutely everything. The location was good. The staff receptionist was very kind and her English was English. Free coffee and tea served during the day and cake at 3pm. Amazing views of the New Bund from the bathroom through a big windows over the bath. Very romantic and comfortable. All facilities available in the room. Great quality breakfast products. I would repeat for sure!
