This was the best place we stayed in china! The staff were great! We swapped emails and I will defiantly be retuning just to stay here and see my new friend! The staff would help with anything you needed, great advice, helped book tours, great english. One night they even cook my and my parents dinner :d loved it! Prefectly located as well, easy to get a taxi and to walk to many places. We thought the staff, Xiao wei and Gu jie, were excellent. They were tremendously helpful to us and very friendly and caring. It was very close to the main attractions of Beijing but in a very quiet area. We felt very safe.

The hotel is very quite to have good rest after a long day visiting. we missed the contact to share experiences with other travellers, all guest were chinesse. We like the common area to relax. Good place for just sleep. The only great thing about this place is the location. Very close to the Imperial Palace and Tien An Men East subway station. Staying in a hutong is an interesting experience. The staff, expecially the young girl who helped us very much. Manager was friendly and most helpful with advice . He spoke fair English. Central to Beijing shopping/eating and tourist spots/easy walking distance Safe environment. Location and two young people running the place. Helpfulness of staff. The weather was still and cold in March, so Beijing air quality was mostly poor. The bed are soft n bend at the centre part , need to change a new .Toilet are pp. We missed breakfast not included. The room was enough but they need to take care about small detaild such us: electrical plug broken, lamp broken, lekeage in the bathrom..... Pretty much everything else is less than satisfactory. (1) the common area should have air conditioning. (2) the furniture in the room (at least in ours) should be better suited for the small area. A huge desk taking half of the space does not make any sense. (3) the toilet stinks really badly. The entrance of the hotel is very very bad. Overpriced, Not worth $90 a night. Is little better than a Backpacker.No meals, or tea/coffee/cold water in room Waste basket emptied and clean towels daily but room not made up or vacuumed. We picked up previous occupants tissues on floor. Tv balanced on books. Didn't match web hype Taxi drivers can't find it. Cant access by car, got to trundle luggage up the lane. Everything else. Bathroom was filthy, breakfast was an insult: one egg, one strip of bacon, two toasts. A lot of fixtures in the room did not work: light bulbs, power outlets. Lower floor room have no privacy what-so- ever, you need to draw curtains all the time, which means that you are staying in poorly lit hole. Filthy conditions.
