Location, free wifi.
No slippers or bathrobes in the room.
Beautiful old building, comfortable rooms, nice bathtubs, clean
Non-functional steam room, pool is completely unlit which turns it into a big dark hole
A beautiful hotel. Very pleasant staff. Voiturier service excellent. Lovely room on 6th floor with beautiful view.
Did not have breakfast as seemed very expensive for 21 euros per person.
Everything
They were a bit mean with the tea bags. Only two a day and only camomile!!
First appearance is a clean well kept hotel.
Had very poor service in the bar, also the Cave bar wasn't open even when advertised. Breakfast not 5 star quality. No daily newspaper included as advertised. Very bad Wifi reception. Toilet roll holder hanging off wall. Keycard stopped working half way through stay, so had to get reset. Not the service I expect from a 5 star, nowhere near the standard of the 4 star Crowne Plaza in Amsterdam.
Facilities that enabled working during my stay. High speed internet, good work station including comfortable chair and lighting made me feel like home.
The setting was lovely and it was very clean
The staff didn`t reserve my taxi as I requested and so I arrived late at the airport
The hotel itself, the location, the fact that the personel from the restaurant spoke dutch. It is always nice when they address you in your own language. The rooms were very nice and clean. A lively hotel. Perfect location.
The receptionstaff was terrible! We had to wait for a very long time, and the staff didn't seem to know their job. They were not friendly at all. The fact that you have to go outside to take the stairs from the 5 th floor to the 7th. Dangerous, they almost oblige you to take the elevator! What if there is a fire?
- property - interior - manager
- charges for gym - breakfast
Very nice hotel. Staff friendly and helpful.
No dislikes.
The novel surroundings as integrated re-building of two old town mansions.
The breakfast - expensive and very ordinary. No integral spa/pool area within price of room.
BEDROOM EXCELLENT
receptionist a bit unhelpful bar staff forgetful with orders
Excelent service, location and facilities
SPA not included in the room price
The room and bathroom were well equipped and very comfortable. The view from the room was surprisingly good. The service was excellent - a birthday cake was produced when the check in staff discovered it was one of our group's birthday. Any items which I ordered from Housekeeping were delivered immediately.
Slightly anonymous type hotel. Lifts to spa to access town more easily than via the steps were not obvious.
This is one of the few hotels in Europe where we enjoyed leisure time spent at the hotel - Liege views, good food, service, fair prices. Beautiful and sensitive design in a heritage setting. Recommended.

Paying for swimming pool Never come across this before.... Very disappointed
We had an excellent meal in the Brasserie.
An additional 15 euro to use the pool.
Once found it proved to be an excellent hotel friendly staff good food nice room
Terrible view from the room, hotel very difficult to find even after phoning hotel for directions (they could not help much on this point) poor car parking facility due garage problem but staff more than compensated by parking outside door.
Resto sélys
Underground car parking closed
The staff was very friendly and efficient. The room was big, nicely designed (especially the bathroom), comfortable and perfectly clean. The food at the 'brasserie' was also excellent.
It is central but not easy to locate, we had to drive around quite a bit to find the place. The area is a bit rough at night. The view from the room was just a big wall.
The location of the hotel is excellent. Close to city centre. Staff were very useful in providing information when needed. I had Wifi connection problem they shifted me to another room with excellent connection.
The restaurant was a bit overpriced.
Good location. Great hotel

Booker avec letsbookhotel.com induit que les nuits ne sont pas comptée dans le programme de fidélité !!!
Very nice hotel and the location excellent! Parking near the hotel but very expensive for 20 Euro per day. Breakfast could be cheaper.
Everything was very nice, but if you have a room near the spa area, you hear water running all the time.
Great check in staff
Breakfast not so great
Just perfect.
Clean, luxurious, very friendly and attentive staff. Rooms were excellent and very comfortable.
the cobbled footpaths
Location
When we arrived, we were told we did not have a reservation. We showed them your email and they "found" it. The room they gave us did not have a tub, as we had requested. They tried to tell us all the rooms with tubs were occupied; this wan't credible, since it was only afternoon. Finally, when we started to get testy, they "found" a room with a tub. It wouldn't be so bad if they weren't so expensive (€155 on a weekend), way more than the placed we'd stayed the previous several nights.
Extra cost to access fitness
Room size and amenities. The view from the restaurant is spectacular. In addition the underground bar is also quite appealing.
Spa center is not up to the standard - looked not particularly clean and the paint on some walls was falling off. Room was not ready before 17:00 for check-in (check-in time shall start at 15:00) - probably had something to do with the Easter holidays and staff constraints.
We had no problems, the room was comfortable, proper room facilities including water boiler and tea/coffee was available. WiFi worked properly and was free (as it should be at any decent hotel), parking garage was available, building was nice, bar area was decorated nicely.
Parking garage is not accessible from the hotel, you need to walk outside, might be a bit of a problem in bad weather or at busy times (to bring the car to the hotel for loading).
The location, the pool and the room
That not all reception staff members spoke English.
The Crowne Plaza is a delightful, sophisticated hotel. Our room was very quiet, the staff were helful and the decorations in the old parts of the hotel were wonderful. Hopefully its appearance will be kickstart a renaissance for Liege which looks like a city which has seen better days.
Impressive architecture and design, mix of restored antics and XXIst century design, high class comfort, competent and multilingual staff, super location.
parking facilities somehow distant from the hotel
Breakfast Room Location Character
Spa: water in swimming pool and jacuzzi was cold (brrr) - hard to relax
Hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast good, with fried eggs freshly cooked to order. Easy walking distance to shops etc.
I was not happy to find that you had to pay to go into the spa. €15 per person per time. I have never had to pay to use a hotel swimming pool before. Since this was one of the purposes we booked it for I was very disappointed. It adds a considerable cost to the stay. Not clear in the hotel advert. Also the steam room was out of use in it! The restaurant is very expensive and we couldn't find any other good restaurants in the immediate area.
Expensive for the quality Problems with shower: low water temperatur, shower screen leaked, .. Young staff in the bistro, no experience. For example: 15 minutes to get a thee. The thee was already 10 minutes in the water.
The staff was more than unfriendly and rude!!!!
They charged me an extra room that I didn't use, although I gave long explanations due to a mistake. The manager was very impertinent.
Not much
Smokey handicap room, had to stand at room door to get a WiFi signal, had to call for coffee for the machine, lukewarm water in the shower, had to walk a block in the rain to park car in a open public lot, no seats in the restaurant, had to persuade restaurant staff to allow us to order a salad in the bar, front desk attendant who didn't know how to respond when he asked us if our stay was nice and I said "no."
Not much. The buildings have been beautifully restored but you don't get to see much of them unless staying in a suite or eating in the expensive restaurant.
Everything. Very difficult to find - access to town centre down steep steps - why didn't they make attractive access to the town rather than having to sneak in and out via the smelly spa? Supercilious staff who weren't knowledgeable about the towns museums.
Standard rooms are pretty large
Waited more than 15 minutes for a tea at breakfast One single person to manage all ckeck outs between 8:30 and 9:00 am, again waited more than 20 minutes
Breakfast was fine also the bed was comfortable
We found an old (used) bathslipper in our room ieuw!, Also our nightcabinet was broken. The tv was not placed in front of the bed. Our view was horrible: looking out over how 80's east Berlin must have looked like. It's not worth the money and it's not worth 5 stars!
Hotel building; Bed; Location.
Spa - not enough relax space, no comfortable chairs, noisy and too small. Showers not working properly and one broken. Breakfast - Poor, stressful staff not able to provide proper service.
The service espacially with parking... I'm 8 months pregnant with an 18 months child and we took this hotel so we did not have to worry about the service. We arrived at 10pm night time and we have been informed that there were no parking available (we wanted to reseve the parking online but it was not possible)... We had to park at 500m from the hotel by ourself (no help from the staff). This is not the kind of service I expect from a 5 star hotel!!!!!!
