I don't think you need to look beyond Gasthof Rosslwirt for budget accommodation, cleanliness, comfort, great location, nice breakfast, free wifi (though it is sometimes weak but doesn't really bother you on a holiday as you are there for a trip and not for internet surfing).   Quite a spacious and, at the same time, cosy apartment with a big bedroom and living room with kitchen, sofa and TV. Part of a nice guest house with courtyard and a little garden. Nicely equipped.   Absolutely recommend this place. As a solo female traveler, I've never felt so safe and comfortable. They even picked me up from the train station and dropped me off at Hallstatt post-stay! It's obvious that this establishment takes great pride in their work; the attention to - This is definitely the best place I have ever stayed.   This is really a good choice for me. Thought it is not in Hallstatt, it still has good location. you can go Hallstatt by train (4-5mins), by walk(20-30mins), by ship,or by bicycle.
