The view as we stayed in a 2 bedroom oceanfront apartment on level 6 and they had bay windows(from floor to ceiling) that slides across to open all the way and the apartment was very spacious. You can also hire bikes for $10 half a day and children under 18 are free. That was great. They had a heated pool, spa and sauna that was a great way to unwind. This is our second visit to the Observatory. We love the location, great ocean views, helpful staff, pool, cleanliness, comfort, close proximity to good restaurants - just the best place for a winter break - but we'll be back in summer as well!.
所有评语 » Our first time staying at the Observatory certainly won't be our last. It simply felt special due to the rooms, their quietness, the view, the local chocolates left on the bed and especially the restaurant and cafe just downstairs. The location was superb. The unit was spacious and clean with all the necessary items needed to make you comfortable. We stayed in a 2 bedroom Oceanview apartment and there was plenty of room and space. Indoor heater pool entertained kids during winter holidays. loved the location, very quiet, close to great cafe's and restaurants, places to walk to including skate park,Town Beach and Town Centre. Clean room, nice TV, good shower and air con, excellent seaview and great location. free secure parking is a bonus. Staff is friendly and we were happy to have check out extended for free. Pool, spa and sauna are lovely. Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were serviced daily (fresh towels, bed made). Across the road from beach. Walking distance to restaurants. The King Size bed was so comfortable I had the best night sleep ever in a motel. It was a comfortable unit. I would stay there again, even with the things we didn't like. Proximity to Port Macquarie town centre. Cleanliness of the apartment. Size of the apartment. Friendliness of staff. Facilities in apartment. Facilities in hotel. Loved the room lay out with seperate bedroom and full kitchen. Space was ample and balcony was fantastic. The bed was first class and ensuite beautiful. Good location near beaches, parks & not far from shops. Comfortable room & good restaurant & café downstairs. Good value for money. We stayed at The Observatory on the recommendation of friends; also in a residence at the time. Close proximity to beach definitely a plus. The room was really clean and very spacious. stayed there before is in a good location. accommodating staff, great location. Pool and environs. the location. Location. Views were spectacular with access to coastal walking tracks and a short stroll to the city centre. Location & pricing... There was nothing I didn't like. Was surprised there was only one bathroom with no seperate toilet. The apartment needs a bit of a spruce up - marked walls and tired furnishings in the living room. Light coming through big gaps in the bedroom blinds. Curtains would block out light coming through. Slight cigarette odour. Only one bathroom. Lift is very slow and has no air con so no good for summer time. - Missing tiles in shower. - Lift was broken when we arrived, had to carry luggage up 3 flights of stairs (was fixed that same afternoon though so not a major issue). - Lots of traffic noise. Cockroaches on the enclosed balconey, we had to close the sliding door to keep them out and with us doing this we had to have the air conditioner running all night, waste of electricity when we could have had the door to the balconey open to keep us cool. Only one lounge chair to sit in not good enough when you are a couple a mature couple at that. 3 flights of stairs up to our apartment. We were there for the Port Macquarie Ironman 70.3, so going up and down the stairs all weekend was a bit of a challenge. I have no complaints or dislikes. Really enjoyed the stay. Lacked a bath. First floor balcony felt a bit closed-in. Their was a view out there somewhere however the windows were very much in need of cleaning so it was somewhat difficult to see out!. Overall, very happy and would go back that said, room was getting a little tired for a relatively expensive apartment. Also, you have to pay for wifi which niggles given the price you are paying (and it didn't work in our living area.). The bed was very hard!. Cockroaches-need solution to this problem. Tricky Wi-Fi. Had four devices and after 24 hours of to-ing and fro-ing to reception we were not informed that we needed four seperate passwords. Solved in the end, but a headache that could have easily been avoided. could do with an additional chair if when friends visited only had 2 chairs on balcony. We had a hotel room - there was no where to sit inside except on the bed this becomes uncomfortable after a while. No towels by the pool. No dressing gowns in the room. Too much noise from surrounding rooms- could hear people walking about. Pillows not very comfortable, bathroom needs more attention particularly on floors around shower. Ther is also mould in the shower and the hand basin needs a more thorough clean. Only 2 lifts. Not a fan of heated indoor pools. Noisy when kids are in there. We did not like leaving to go home. Nohting to dislike. As a business traveller I found the Observatory wanting in my needs. The lack of room service, no desk lamp or note paper was a concern to me. Also the 1 then 2 door apartment that I stayed in meant lack of privacy and a lot of noise when neighbours had to use the common door. I also found that, although I had beautiful ocean views, I could only enjoy them whilst I was standing as the closed in balcony was enclosed from the bottom to half way up the wall. N/A. not cleaned often during our stay. the restaurant of hotel was not that good they need to improve their food quality. Room was not well catered as it had no microwave or small wash up sink.The fridge was barely able to cool drinks etc.The way the room was advertised was a bit misleading.
