The service was excellent. Seb on the front desk is a proper local who is wise in the ways of all! My door swipe card was causing me probs after a very long flight, seb cheerfully showed me how to use the swipe card. Most people wouldnt have made such an effort. Ssb gives good advice on how to enjoy Darwin more and how to organise the airport bus more effectively! 所有评语 » As the name suggests it was a "Value Inn." It provided basic accommodation. The location was excellent being right in the centre of the CBD of Darwin. If you want cheap, reasonable accommodation then this is the hotel for you. If you are looking for four star quality, then go somewhere else. The location was brilliant though the local pubs can be a bit noisy but that has nothing to do with Value Inn. Staff were helpful and the cleaning staff very professional in room preparation. Pity one had to go across to for the laundry but it wasn't a big issue. The room was comfortable, clean and good value for money. For medical reasons, I was unable to stay on my return journey through Darwin, and to my surprise I was reimbursed for this night's accommodation, though they were under no obligation to do so. I like close shopping handy to valuve inn n out for tea resturanrs closer at mitchell street n lagoon waterfront lagoon n apartment n waves pool beach n view sea oul company navy boat guard n etc no need transport n walking arnd interesting n cafes. The hotel, although in a noisy part of Darwin and relatively basic provided us with all that we needed for two nights - a place to put our head down that was central - one night before the Adventure Tour began and one after before flying home. arrived at 1 am and left at 8am but the staff was friendly and helpful, letting us know where to find the bus to the Ghan train. Older building and the room was small, but the bed was comfy and the location for us was great. Good sized room and adequate shower room; tea and coffee provided; small fridge and good sized TV. As indicated, I was more than happy with the accommodation with the location being the major feature. Nothing really felt the budget price was excellent for what one got. I stayed on a Saturday night with a lot of loud music coming in from the street until 2.00 am, even though my room was further back. I was on first floor and woke at 2.30 one morning to find an intruder in my room, there was no lock on the window and he had climbed up and let himself in. Sara was very helpful and I was relocated to a room with a window lock on the second floor. The shower rose. Too small and a bit like splinters hitting the skin. Also the water didn't run straight down the drain, but tended to fill most of the bathroom. A minor matter, really. Rooms were small but we understand that it was budget accommodation. Very small room with little space for clothes. some rooms have no widows,a little noise at times. i had bed bug bites all over my arms, legs and feet, very itchy and burning and had to pay for my medical consultation coz im not australian so additional expenses for me. aside from that have to do some routine application of cream and was unable to sleep becoz of the itchiness. i wont check in again at this hotel. More attention to cleanliness would be good. The communal use of the irons and microwaves are of great benefit but they are not clean. Stay in September- shower had no pressure on first floor. TV didn't work. Bed was a bit hard. That's all. Rooms are cramped bu that's expected. No dedicated storage area. rooms where small. Very limited parking on site - limited spaces, first in, first served - if you miss out, you have to park on the street - from 0800, ticket parking applies. The room was small. The paint was peeling off the walls and ceiling. The shower was pathetic. The only down side was that there wasn't any hot water, In the room i stayed in. Parking was often a problem. Bugs in the room. fire alarm went off 3x in 1 week, having to go next door for laundry. Backpackers next door a bit noisy. First night room rather noisy but that wasn't surprising given central location. Room received when we returned after trip to Kakadu was quieter. rooms a bit small but were still comfortable. The cockroaches from the room. Room very small,. Shortage of car parking. The bed linens and the pillows were not changed for the four days although there were daily room service. Would be good if these can be changed every two or three days. No smokers sections had to go all the way down stairs to have a smoke. found a earring in my bed. Bed was hard but the staff did everything they could to sort the problem. noisy exhaust fan in bathroom. I would like to say : excellent for what one got.
