  The location is great. Right by the water and in a 'real' part of the island. Don't take any notice of reviews that say the neighbourhood is unsafe. It is a working area and there are fishermen with gear etc. It's real!! Staff at the resort are very helpful and the atmosphere is relaxed. Good to have the pool, canoes and snorkelling gear available... vad folk säger » . Breakfast is fine too, fruit, cereal and waffles etc. OK, this is not Honolulu, but that's why we chose it... quiet, away from the main drag... if - It was only a 5-10min walk to the Seven Eleven, and Mike’s Hulu Chicken truck and a grocery store where you can also buy alochol and foods. The room had hot plates and a microwave and kitchen. So that was more than fine. The scenery was just magnificent. The water and beautiful rich green mountains with mist. I loved the fact that it was so far away from Wakiki. (Too busy for me). My studio room was enormous and my bed was very comfortable.

  love the hotel it self, it might not look fabulous from the lobby but when you go inside rooms are clean spacious and all the facilities are so easy to access and everyone here are so friendly. love the location too because it's very quiet and not the far from everything - The staff was helpful and approachable. The breakfast service they offer was outstanding and the food at supper was delicious.

  Was just a one night stay leaving Honolulu early in the morning... staff great, helped with info to get into town, room great, clean, comfortable, and free pick up from airport on way back from islands, and then early drop off at 5 am... - Only stayed overnight for flight the next day, but found the hotel very comfortable and staff very helpful a... vad folk säger » nd accomodating.   The Modern is a fantastic place to stay. This was our second trip there and we loved every minute. We stayed longer this time and still didn't want to leave, The staff are just lovely, the rooms are stunning and well thought out, the views are divine, the interior design is gorgeous, the pool is divine, the other guests are always interesting,r... vad folk säger » ooms, the gym is great, the spa was divine, great massage, the food was excellent and we ate there alot. Its easy walking distance to the Mall and in - Super friendly staff-from desk clerks to runners to room service; the room was modern and tasteful, great for work, and very comfortable and peaceful; the pools are lovely; room service was great; above all, it is a beautiful boutique hotel which is much nicer than any surrounding accommodations and for a better price. I couldn't recommend it any more highly!

  Excellent service, staff always very friendly and ready to help. The beds were very comfortable, the balcony and the panorama were excellent. We also booked two excursions (with their partners) at the desk in the lobby, both days were great! I would definitely recommend this hotel. - The room was quiet, bed comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was always cleaned well. The location was very convinent, bus service and walking friendly. The breakfast were good (coffee excellent). The lobby was very nice for having coffee and reading the AM paper. Again it was nice and quiet with wee view of ocean, Diamond head and city. Could leave the sliding door open all night.

Children of all ages were well catered for and hence adults were able to enjoy the location and amenities and relax, I especially loved my visits to the adults only pool.   The pool and location were amazing. We lounged around the pool almost every day and enjoyed the friendly service of the waitress that passed by. The hotel is right on the beach and a very short walk to Whaler's Village (a shopping mall).   Free shuttle to and from airport is great. Our room was neat and clean and the bed was very comfortable. Liked the fact that there was a laundry room on our floor ( we did one load of wash), and for future reference noted the microwave, empty refrigerator and coffee maker in the room. Also liked that there was a stamp machine and an atm machine available. Seems like a lot of - We stayed for one night before continuing on with our vacation. Loved the size of the hotel, excellent breakfast, friendly staff, nice room, lovely pool area. Enjoyed walking in the area and going to Byron's. We would definately stay here again and will highly recommend it to our friends. We walked thru the Best Western but preferred your hotel, less busy and more personal and friendly. Thank you for a lovely stay.

  We absolutely loved our stay at Polynesian Plaza! Rooms are nice& definately adequate despite negative reviews! Excellent value for money and in the perfect location for shopping in town. The room also has air conditioning to cool the room which was great, without this, we wouldn't have been able to st - My stay at the Polynesian Plaza was wonderful. I wasn't expecting a lot as I was looking for accommodation at a reasonable price. The location was perfect, the staff was excellent and the room was fine. Especially the rooms facing Kalakaua Ave with the balcony as we got a brilliant view of the Halloween festivities on our last night their. I certainly recommend the Polynesian Plaza to anyone seeking something along the lines of what I have highlighted in this review.

  The rooms are large and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is fantastic. Service was excellent - very friendly, polite and attentive (and continued this way after my stay when I left my sunglasses behind).   We loved everything about this hotel. The location is ideal. The staff seem to genuinely love their jobs and it shows in their outstanding commitment to guest service. The rooms are whisper quiet. Spacious luxurious accommodation in a great location. The customer service we received would have to be the best we have received anywhere in the world.   We exited the taxi and were welcomed to the Four Seasons with a lei, which we expected. A porter took us to the check-in desk at 11:00 A.M. where only one girl was working. The check-in girl snapped at the porter stating she was already serving someone. We were able to charge our ipod, ipad, iphone 4, iphone 5 all at the same time. I cut my finger on the razor in - The staff were very welcoming from when we first arrived. Throughout our stay we were recognized and equipt for with no trouble. All staff were brilliant at remembering our names which was very impressive. Everyone had their role to maximize the fine detail around the hotel, the design was beautiful and the lay out was very nice. Rooms were spacious and homely. I would definatly recommend this hotel.
