  We had a delightful stay at Summit Lake Lodge with among the most friendly proprietors we have encountered. We stayed in a cabin which was an ideal mixture of updates and Alaskan charm, tucked away in the trees surrounding Summit Lake. Dinner at the restaurant was gourmet - the best we had in our week-and-a-half vacation. The cabins are very comfortable and well decorated with careful attention paid to small details that make the cabins feel so "homey". The owners and staff are warm and personable and really go the extra mile to take care of the guests. The breakfast that is included in the price is fantastic. The mountain setting is beautiful, and we enjoyed kayaking in the adjacent lake. We highly recommend

  This lodge has the best view of Mt McKinly from its back overlooking porch. When you check in ask for a room with a view. There are hiking trails. You can sometimes see Moose right outside.   We stayed at the Courtyard on the last night of a 3-week trip to Alaska because it is convenient for Ted Stevens Airport and we were flying home next day. The airport shuttle runs to a schedule and has to be pre-booked but this works well and the driver is very helpful.   The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. I liked having a coffee maker, fridge and microwave in my room. The beds were very comfortable. I'm glad they offer smoking rooms. - My experience at the hotel was very good. The staff were very nice, polite and helpful. I would very highly recommend this hotel.
