My fiancé and I stayed here for two nights. The location is brilliant and the receptionist that greeted us (forget her name but lots of tattoos) was lovely, very helpful and kind. If only all receptionists were like her! We had a small issue with the air con not working properly while we there but after mentioning to the staff we were discounted for this and were given a portable fan which helped. The location is superb, very quiet spot and away from the madness of Bourbon street and Canal stre.
alla recensioner » Walking distance to Bourbon street but far enough away to not hear noise. Close to the French Market. Room was nice, great king sized bed. Courtyard was perfect for my husband to hang out and use his ipad and be able to smoke. We will definitely stay here again! Great location!!. Two friends and i stayed at this location for mardi gras.The staff were very friendly and suggested great local restaurants that we absolutely loved! The room was very quant and the location was perfect! I will visit this hotel again!. Absolutely charming courtyard equipped with its own hot tub, very relaxing atmosphere to return to after a long night on Bourbon St. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, would have been completely lost without them. I liked the extra saftey of the gate entrance an door entrance at check in-out .also the brick path with green plants through out wish one would have been inside room and maybe historical pictures inside . New Orleans. Location good for French Quarter, Frenchmen Street jazz clubs, Bourbon Street and French Market. However, located in quiet street and our room was also in quiet part of the Inn, which is what we had requested. The staff on front desk specifically on April 6-11 were friendly & helpful. Loved location and felt you were in the "real" New Orleans without the craziness. A little oasis and an excellent location. Great location in the quieter end of the French Quarter. Front office staff very friendly and helpful. Small size of the hotel fostered a terrific atmosphere between guests. The location is great, just a short walk from the river and Bourbon Street. It's an old building that has been remodeled.... The staff, especially Carrie-sue was great. clean, quiet, close to many of the landmarks in the french quarter Staff were friendly and helpful checking on plans and setting us up with tours. Great location, very helpful staff, good security to the courtyard, nicely refurbished rooms, original features such as fireplace and floorboards. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had a lot of character. It was very close to all the hot-spots but off enough to not be noisy. Cute !!. Loved the courtyard. How close it was to the French Quarter area. Nothing. Our first night was cold and damp and our heat didn't work so we froze, but they fixed it the next day. Parking is a bit expensive at $20 a night but it was a secure lot so worth it. That we had to leave. :). The toilet paper roll had been over 75%used would have been nice to have a new roll on the wall holder instead of the used roll . Also a window that would open for fresh air!. Room could have been fitted with tea/coffee making facilities and also did not have a table to put suitcases on, or somewhere to stowage the suitcases. The staff checking in my friends on April 5 didn't know what she was doing. Put 1 couple in my room by mistake and charges were all messed up. Also housekeeping was uneven. One couple didn't even have their room cleaned 1 day. Rooms could be serviced a little more diligently. The parking can be a bit of a challenge if you have your own car. Due to the age of the building and some of the remodel, the A/C in some of the units was out (including ours), but the staff worked to get it fixed and were very apologetic. there was something on the floors, a wax, oil or cleaning product that left a black residue. We notified them and they were trying to get the bottom of it. French quarter parking tricky, no breakfast facilities, very small shower cubicle. Not sure where they would have put it, but always nice to have a small fridge. 11 am checkout. Most places in the quarter are moving to later checkouts. Parking is terrible our daughter has difficulty walking and the hotels parking requires many blocks of walking which I did myself to get the car many times for her. The stench of garbage and urine in the morning is not something I care to experience again. Room 4 had no window. Small fridge in room would be useful in the New Orleans heat. Air con unit dripped continuously into a bucket on the floor, which drove you insane during the night. The room was just not comfortable. The floor slopes and the drawers in the bureau do not stay closed. The paint is bubbling and will soon flake off. During the evening the smoke detector started to beep, which means battery low. Reported this first thing in the morning, but when returned in afternoon it was still not fixed. Reported again and finally maintenance man replaced battery. Narrow steps in courtyard to upstairs to room, and st rawly is creepy seems like you are going to fall off. Small bedrooms to fit 2 queen beds. Parking was somewhat of an issue, but we found city parking about 3 miles away. No chairs in the room or a place to sit--ridiculous. The bath doorway had a high step up which was dangerous especially at night. Room 2. The room was clean and maintained but looked Spartan. Few pics or décor items. Parking is also a problem as it is several blocks away. The cab svc was good however. Looks rather new, but some minor defects, like leaking airconditioning, non-closing drawer. parking to far away. stairs are too narrow to haul luggage. I had to throw my luggage down the stairs because they are too steep. You advertised it had a kitchenet but none of the rooms do you have to go to reception for a coffee. Small shower. Very cold. Couldn't get thermostat To work. Toilet didn't flush. Our room was on the street so we had noise from people on the street all night. No safe in room, floor at a slant. Not enough room for clothes. Need door between shower and sink/toilet. Steep stairs to the 2 floor rooms. We did not have any air it was so hot they had to bring us to stand up fans and they told us they had a place to park but when we got there we had no place all full so we had to find our on place to park our car and we had another expense. All hot and no parking terrible.
