Anna, the manager, is kind & goes the extra mile! She upgraded our room without charging. Prior to arriving & checking in our second time, the nice guy at the front desk put the air conditioner on in our room so that when we arrived the room was already cool & also had the TV on. Later on when I called for some help, the nice guy at front desk was at our room instantly to assist & provided the perfect solution!! Excellent location, close to the Park at 9th & Hope...great for kids! Close to a bunch of restaurants, Target, Smart & Final, Ralph's, and LA LIVE. Near the 7th Street Metro Center (train) Station that takes you to other stops in downtown LA, Hollywood, Culver City, & Long Beach. Refrigerator & Microwave in room. Swimming pool...my son & I love taking a dip on a hot, Summer day...So refreshing! I've been to many motels and hotels in LA for under $100 per day, THIS Inn and the Howard Johnson's are the ONLY two I would recommend!
Service is great. Staffs were so helpful. Good value.

Fyi dont lock your key in your room I had locked mine in by mistake and one of the guys that work in the office gave me a attitude tossed another key at me said " 2nd person today what's with you people "
There was no parking available. Clerk told us first come first serve. Had to park behind in an alley.
Location was excellent, just 5 minutes from the LA downtown and right next to freeway. Parking was good. The room had refrigerator and microwave, but no hairdryer.
Facilities are quite basic, not enough power outlets (I found just one in the wardrobe). WiFi connection is really poor. Maybe it works fine only in the rooms that are close to the office. The price also was a bit high.
Pool was in working order. Close to stores, restaurants, convention center. Price.
Beds were hard. Continental breakfast was incredibly minimal; OJ, two kinds of cereal and bread for toast only.
Staff was great. I got there early (6:00AM) way before check-in. Since they had a room available they let me check-in right there so I could get some rest. Complementary breakfast was appreciated.
Room was dusty in some areas, wi-fi was a bit spotty and the bed sheets were to small and they had plastic that covered the bed which was a bit annoying.
