  My boyfriend and I, both 26, loved the Starlite Hotel. It was clean, comfortable, and affordable. The location was great (right on the strip with all of the awesome bars and restaurants), and we were literally ten feet away from the beach. You can't beat the adorable and *clean* rooms combined with the inexpensive rates.   This place was amazing for me. I was travelling as a solo 25 year old female for work and everything was fantastic. The owner was very friendly and had breakfast with everyone in the morning.   The room - I liked that the hotel was located in the center of the strip of south beach near clubs and the beach being walking distance. also the staff was nice and did not bug or hassle my visitors even when they came by really late.

  A quirky, eclectic family-run hotel in the heart of South Beach. The James Hotel is owned and run by Sr. Torre and his daughter, and the care and love they have for their property is evident throughout. The staff is wonderful and accommodating - without exception, every staff member was happy and helpful. It was an amazing value. Lots of space in the room, yes the furniture is a bit out of date, but it worked perfectly fine and it was very clean. I will always stay here when I'm in south beach. They are also very flexible with check in and check out times. My flight arrived at 9am and they let me into my room well before the designated check in time.
