  Stanton street was a Great location with lots of reasonably priced eateries nearby. I have stayed in central manhattan in the past and by comparison I think the lower east side had more soul and we felt more at home and that we were locals for the couple of weeks that we stayed there. Many buses both cross town and up and downtow - This Bed and Breakfast is the most desirable hotel we have ever stayed in the New York City area. From the exceptionally clean lobby, friendly and competent manager-- along with the quietness of the rooms where we had stayed on two different occasions-I fully recommend this Bed and Breakfast to anyone who would like to have peace and quiet while visiting New York.   This was our second stay at the East Village this summer and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The location is very convenient, as transit can be accessed by 5-10 minute walk. Also, the rooms themselves have a modern feel and are maintained very well (very clean!). We also loved the fact that it has kitchenette (with fridge).   I love this little Inn. It is by far the least expensive place to stay in Chelsea/Flatiron. It is not fancy by any means but it is quiet and the location is great. It's half a block off 5th ave shopping, two blocks from Union square and 2 blocks from 8th Ave in Chelsea. The rooms have a refrigerator which was rare to find for the price. The continental breakfast next door has - The location and the courteous staff! Very comfortable and quiet and clean and you can get the sense of actually living there when you stay in this wonderful historic building. I will always book at the Chelsea Inn whenever I travel to NYC. The location is central to Union Square Station, and only one block over from 5th Avenue. From here, it's easy to get to anywhere in this beautiful City!
