  I booked this hotel for a quick two day trip to see San Francisco with our kids based on the good price compared to nearby hotels, not really expecting much in the way of facilities. My wife even encouraged me to reconsider after out of fear it would not be clean or safe. I'm happy to say we were very surprised and happy with this property. Thank you for the pleas - Good budget-friendly hotel. We stayed for 2 days & walked or bussed the whole time. Very central location to everything. We walked from the hotel to Pier 39/Fisherman's Warf, Chinatown, North Beach, Union Square, then would take the bus back. We did this with a 5 year old & a 2 year old. The rooms were clean & tidy with plenty of space. I would definitely stay here again.

  Pacific Heights Inn is a true gem. We have stayed at this hotel 3 times - in 1999, 2004 and now in 2013 and each time the place was just right!It's not a "fancy place" but it's not a dive at all. Quaint and comfortable. Are group of 4 adults stayed in room 26 & 27 - adjoining rooms each containing a very comfortable king sized bed. Ernesto checked us in and he went out of his way to ensure a very good room for us. Also suggested some great ideas on what to do. Jonah in the morning was extremely efficient meeting our needs as wells as other clients. He was very professional and made calls to secure a bike activity we were to undertake.   This is a good location if you want to visit Marina District. If you want to go to the Golden Gate for instance. We actually rent bikes and from the hotel we could go to the golden gate, the road was stunning. We also could reach downtown through the embarcadero st which is also very nice.   This is my second stay in less than 6 months. You can't beat the price and the location. There is a parking garage right next door with super overnight rates. The Muni bus stop is right in front of the hotel. You're a couple of blocks from Union Square. This is a budget hotel so don't expect "Five Star Hilton Accomodations". There is a new digital flat screen TV plus a refrig - It was a no frills hotel but comfortable for the most part. The shower was great - roomy, plenty of hot water.   Good and a clean place for the money. The staff were courteous and it is a simple and an inexpensive place to stay if you want something on a low budget. Walking distance to movies, and great ethnic asian cuisine. - I liked that is was pet friendly at no extra charge. Once we got the handicapped room, it was perfect. The beds were comfortable.

  There is no negative thing i would mention. The room was new and clean. Breakfest ok. Really good position of the hotel is just perfect (about 10min to the Town Hall)! The park place is small but all the guests found a place while we were there. We would recommend this hotel mainly for young people and travellers. - Close to our destination - walking distance. The staff was very helpful. Gave us walking instructions to our intended destination. Also pointed out alternate transportation solutions and approximate costs.

  The location is good, the neightboorhood is really quiet and safe and there is some small places to grab something to eat... close to lombard street which is reall close to the fisherman wharf and its easy to catch the buses from there... the place is clean and really confy.. we were not expecting much because of the price..but once we got there w... vad folk säger » e were amazed, cuz the room was really nice and look really fancy actually, cable and wifi were good and the personal was really helpfull. - It looks a bit run down on the outside, but inside the rooms have been renovated and are very nice indeed: meticulously clean, very comfortable. There was a fridge and a microwave in ours, very handy. Spotless bathroom. Free (ample) parking in SF is invaluable. Location is very good too, just a very short walk off the lively Union street, convenient for buses... Overall, definitely recommended, we'll stay there again if we're ever in the area.

It's tough to find a decent room in a good location for under $100/night in this city! The hotel is situated right on Lombard street, close to the 30 Stockton bus and the 22 Fillmore bus.
