  We had a really enjoyable stay at the Yosemite Westgate Lodge. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was quiet, clean and thoroughly well presented. Location is just outside the park and takes about 20 mins to drive to park entrance, which is ideal because staying in the park itself is extortionate. Restaurant/bar next door was great with good, ... vad folk säger » reasonably priced food and cheap beer ($3 a pint or thereabouts). Overall, I would recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to stay there again if - The staff was very helpful and flexible about accomodating some special requests we made. The room was clean and had been recent;y updated or remodeled. Our kids enjoyed the pool and spa. The restaurant next door had a good variety of American-style food at moderate prices. Considering some of the other lodging options in the Yosemite National Park area, this is an excellent choice for families or couples wanting all the standard motel amenities but not wanting to pay luxury motel prices.
