Our concern that the Hotel may be too close to the Motorway was quickly dispelled as we ventured into the Worcestershire countryside. With plenty of free parking available and a most pleasant and helpful Receptionist, our initial impressions were very favourable. These were further reinforced by the friendly Restaurant staff and the quality and presentation of the food at both breakfast and dinner. Our room was also very clean and comfortable. We went to a family wedding at this hotel and found it to be the perfect location. The staff were brilliant and could not have been more helpful. The event was very well organised and the catering was excellent. Everything you needed for a great wedding was arranged with a minimum of fuss. We had a fabulous time and stopped overnight after the wedding. The staff were excellent and very accommodating. They certainly went the extra mile - My adult daughter arrived unexpectedly, Although there were no rooms available for her, they agreed to put a camp bed into our existing room to enable her to stay with us. This was at minimal cost. Thank you Pear Tree staff, we really appreciated it. My wife uses a wheelchair, the staff with one exception were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. As indicated in other reviews the rooms would benefit greatly from updating. Food & drink good & reasonably priced.The location just off the M5 makes it easy for touring the area. Location of Hotel is superb, 10 minutes from the centre of Worcester, 5 minutes off the M5 and 15 minutes from Droitwich, yet out in the country. Staff are courteous, bedrooms are comfortable and the buffet breakfast is excellent. All in all a superb place. We will visit again. The hotel is clean and secluded making for a peaceful rest. Room was comfortable and quiet. We were in a suite so there was more than enough space in our room. Although you have to travel a short distance down country lanes to get to it, it is easy to get to from the M5 motorway. Great location, just ten minutes from Worcester. Excellent food, not a large menu but choice recipes very well presented. Good breakfast, cooked to order and lots of it. My wife and my two grown up daughters enjoyed our say immensely, thank you, we will definitely come again. This is how things should be done, excellent staff, special mention to Jason who could not have been more helpful or professional, as were the rest of staff. Lovely room, real hearty breakfast sets one up for the day. Great experience will be back. Many thanks. Upgraded by Jason to room 110. Spacious with seperate lounge, and comfortable. Stasff were helpful and looked after us well. In particular, Sam in the bar is a grand lad with a bit of character. Also Scottie who is knowledgeable and well travelled. We were most impressed with our room 110 loads of chill out space and all amenities catered for. We forgot to mention that the rad in our bedroom seemed to get extremely hot and would not like this to cause a fire at some later stage!. The lady I met when I arrived was nice and courteous, we find it a bit difficult locating the hotel and it was really late around 02:30am but she waited and was on the phone giving us direction.I want to say thank you to her. The location was good for us visiting Worcester, without being in the city. All the staff we met were very helpful and friendly. Enjoyed being able to relax and have a nice meal / breakfast in the pub section of the hotel. We all really loved this hotel and thought it was much better than we anticipated for the money. My mother and I felt welcome and well looked after, the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our bedroom was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Both the evening meal and breakfast was delicous and great value. This was a very nice small hotel with restaurant and pub that had character. Staff were excellent and very helpful. Food in restaurant very good. Very comfortable stay. The only downside was the lack of an electric shaving point in the bathroom but having to 'wet shave' instead was no real issue. Nothing.. If your plan is for a luxury break this not the hotel for you. No welcoming from the receptionist just passed over an envelope and told the room number.If this is the norm then they need to change, first impressions are very important. Very difficult to find any fault. Some public areas are rather dark, but it doesn't detract. There was nothing much to dislike about the hotel provided you want a nice quiet away from it all type of place. Leaving. Shaver socket in bathroom would be a useful addition!. Unfortunately the sirloin steak ordered for our dinner was not good but when explained to the manager he was extremely helpful and agreed that we should only pay for one meal. An extremely nice touch I thought as we do not like complaining. Thanks Pear Tree. Nothing really "a bit hidden" it's stated anyway that it's countryside. Out this it's a lovely place to be. If we had to be a bit picky, then the location is a little out of the way. There is a park and ride not too far away which takes you into Worcester. As it turned out rather than fork out for a taxi we ate at the hotel and had wonderful meals. The Stock controller not doing very good job had ran out of chocolate and real ale the whole of our stay. The noisy parrot in the bar area was the only downfall. I don't believe animals such as birds should be in the same area as people are eating. It helps having a GPS as it is slightly off the beaten track. Fine for what we wanted but it is not a place to go for luxury etc etc. WOuld happily stay again for one or two nights. absolutely nothing!. Walking around the grounds of the hotel you were aware of the noise from the motorway, but it has to be said you could not hear the motorway anywhere within the hotel. Would have liked an iron in the room and choice of extra pillows but these were soon provided. Made to feel a little uncomfortable at breakfast as arrived towards the end of time but not late. I had to ask for a 2nd cup of coffee, was not asked what type of bread I wanted for my toast, was not given butter and waiter hovered to clear plates. One member of staff in the bar/restaurant was not up to the standard of all the other staff. Be aware that this is a hotel that hosts functions of various sorts and if you are unlucky enough to catch one of these nights then the small restaurant can not cope with the number of guests. The air conditioning didn't work on what was one of the hottest days of the year, although they did move us at our request to another room less hot but the air con failed here as well. May have been the very high temperatures. Needs a bit of decorating, looks a bit well used in places. Nothing. Not being able to stay longer!!. Nothing. The staff seemed disinterested. My husband needed an iron and ironing board and it was almost implied that he might have to do without until he insisted. There were 3 other guests who were queuing for the iron as well; which we passed along after using so clearly this is not an unusual request. The ironing board was old and tacky so much you could see the wood chip. That was disappointing. A small niggle but the bacon at breakfast had been kept warm for too long and therefore had the consistency of leather. A bit further out in the country than I thought but not a big deal. Location is somewhat inconvenient down narrow country lanes. Nothing much nearby in the immediate area. Nobody on reception on arrival, keys in envelopes: a bit spooky No hot water for a bath - sower was OK though. The only downside of our stay was that the mattress was very hard and uncomfortable!!. Shower curtain was a bit grubby. The decor was a bit dated. n/a. There is not much to dislike. However the outstide area at the back of the bar restaurant is looking very tired and is need of a good clean up with also a lick of paint.
