everyone.
Steve and Vicky are very hospitable owners and personaly very nice people. One can feel they put their hert into this their work. They helped us a lot long before our travel by answering our questions (best choice of the Lakes tour, walking paths, arrival to WIndermere etc.)

Ideally located between Bowness and Windermere. 10-15 minutes stroll either way. Steve and Vicky are the friendliest B n B people that we have met (stayed in over 12 other B n Bs). Invergarry is such a welcoming place. The bed was really comfortable. We stayed in a small double but this was a reasonable size for a couple of nights and didn't feel small. Breakfast was delicious - homemade muesli, jam and marmalade. Best breakfast that we have had in a B N B. Really lovely touches in the rooms -

The staff were very friendly , welcoming and always ready to help. The location , set in woods and hills above Lake Windermere , is fantastic. As for the hotel , it had character and charm , with some very appealing features. The food was excellent. - Attention to detail and being made extremely welcome

Everything was exceptional. The place is a typical country house with very clean rooms with white crisp towels and bed linen. I am a wheelchair user (complete paraplegic) and found the access to be excellent. I would go as far to say that Meadowcroft is probably one of the best places I've stayed for disabled room facilities. The option to book a disabled room from the website is a very good touch, I usually have to phone ahead to confirm that the room is appropriate for my needs and available, which this function eleviated, if only other sites/hotels did this.
The room was spacious, comfortable and extremely clean.

It was our first time in the Lake District and The Coppice was situated within the perfect location to explore both Windermere and Bowness on Windermere (a ten minute walk from either town). It couldn't have been better! Barbara and Chris are perfectionists in all they do. We stayed in a family room with our 2 pets which was perfect for us. Loved the decor and especially the nice touches of bone china teacups in the room. The welcoming sherry was perfect. A short walk into Winderemere to restaurants,
And a quick car trip to Bowness to other water activities. Did not use the spa but it was nice to know it was there. Would definitely return and Chris says he's converting family rooms

Everything about the Hotel is first class. From the moment we checked in the staff are so friendly and very professional everything was excellent. It was my birthday and we had chocolates left in the room and also a nice touch there had been placed a hot water bottle in the bed. Never had that before. Yes all in all a first class hotel one to come

The staff worked inncesantly, manager very hands on .. attending at breakfast in his beautiful suit on our last day. staff very very helpful and friendly.Local walks and maps available. problem solving skills of staff (to resolve our issue). Magnificent views of lake windermere.

Excellent location. The apartment was very well equiped and the ownermade us feel very welcome. Although we stayed there in summer it wasquite cold and wet but heating was available all day if we wanted touse it. this was our first visit to the lamplighter we were very impressed with the friendliness of all the staff we arrived with our 2 cavalier dogs who were made a big fuss of we also were asked if we wanted to eat in a separate room so the dogs could be with us which we declined as they are more than happy to stay in their sleeping crate .the breakfas

The innkeepers were charming! The hotels rooms newly decorated and the
kingsize beds very comfortable with lovely pillows. The breakfast was
also particularly delicious, with fresh juices, Greek yogurt with berry
compote for example. They accommodated well for special vegetarian
requests, even going out for veggie sausage for us for our second

We were greeted by a very friendly man who couldn't do enough for us. He allowed us into our room much earlier than usual as we wanted to get ready for a wedding nearby. The room was lovely, clean and had all the necessary bits and bobs we needed (including a hand-held magnifying mirror!).
Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was light and clean.

A lovely inn with good, clean rooms and a good sized ensuite bathroom ..and, at times, a working TV... sinceours didn't work!. However, everybody pulled out all the stops to get the TV in working order; alas, it was not to be. We were offered free drinks as compensation in the pub, which we appreciated very much. Other than this amusing story, we had a great time in this lovely place and would definitely go back!
