  Jenni and Steve make you feel like personal friends in their lovely home. Their sense of decoration and comfort is amazing, the breakfasts are wonderful, the views from the house terrific. The friendliness and hospitality of the hosts made our visit just like being at home. The comfort and cleanliness of the accomodation the obvious effort that has gone into making this house a lovely place stands testament to their approach to thier business.   Brendan Chase is conveniently placed and just a half-hour walk to Lake Windermere. David, the owner who greeted us, was extremely helpful when we first arrived drawing a map for us and pointing out places of local interest and some picturesque walks we might have missed otherwise.   Fantastic hosts - great communication from the start. Very helpful, gave great advice and nothing seemed too much trouble. Lovely room - very comfortable with little touches including toiletries, fresh milk, delicious flapjack and WiFi. Great choice of breakfasts on offer - something for everyone with lots of fresh coffee and toast etc. Brilliant... vad folk säger » location - 5 minutes walk from Windermere itself, with the Orrest Head walk over the road. 10-15 mins from Ambleside, 20 mins from the Langdales - wh - Good location.... 3 min walking to railway and bus stations, very convenient to Bowness, Grasmere, Hawkshead, as well as other attractions. Room is clean and comfort. Homemade breakfast is rich and delicious. Orrest cottage is excellent value for money. I highly appreciated David and Laura for their kindness and helpful. As they knew that we should catch the morning train, they had prepared breakfast for us half an hour earlier than usual. I really enjoyed two nights at Orrest Cottage, and

  Extremely comfortable, quiet and spotless clean accommodation. The single room with the bathroom was just amazing, warm, cosy and the perfect place to go back after a long walk. View of the mountains from the window in the morning is a great start, as well as the breakfast. Howard is a very nice and kind host. Lake Windermere and the town centre are within walking distance. Parking was easy as you can park on the surrounding streets.

  We had a lovely friendly stay in homely surroundings with fabulous breakfasts. We were also given much information in relation to places to visit which was very helpful for our first visit to the lakes. The Mews is very well placed for accessing trains and buses as well as a lovely walk to the lakeside. Throughly recommended. - We appreciate host... vad folk säger » 's hospitality and had a wonderful time in The Mews. The meal is nice and the room is clean with privacy. Last but not least, the host provided very good advice on footpath in Windermere and so we didn't miss any attractive place in Lake District.
