  My partner and I stayed at The Ravensworth 24-28 March and all i can say it what a lovely hotel. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It was my birthday during the stay and after a day out I returned to find a card and gift from the owners. A lovely touch. Excellent accomodation. - A nice warm welcome on arrival, clean comfortable room, excellent full english breakfast, staff were attentive but not intrusive and very well mannered, also useful was the information given in room for local places to have evening meals which we found very helpful. Hotel was in a great location for getting around the Lake District.

  everything - attention to detail was fantastic - It was off the main road but still quite near to Windermere main street and within decent walking distance of Bowness on Windermere.

  We were met with a pot of tea and cake which was lovely after our journey. Paul was very helpful re things to do in the area and lots of info on local walks etc. The room was small but had everything we could possibly have needed and the bed was so comfortable! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and I also found that the recommendations of places to eat and sites to see were superb. I would definately stay again and strongly encourage others to do so. An all round excellent hotel which is perfect for a stay in the beautiful surrounding area.

  We stayed in 4 different places in England and this one was by far the best. Lovely and very clean. Dick and Sue have paid attention to every detail and our stay was very comfortable. We were treated like family.   Staying at Beech House has totally restored my faith there are guest houses that go beyond anything a hotel can offer. Maureen was so friendly, warm and inviting we just did not want to leave. The room was cleaned daily, the breakfast cooked to perfection and early check-in was not at all a problem. We would definitely return! - It's the best place I have stayed ever. Very kind and thoughtful staff. We brought our 1.5 years old for a leisure weekend. When we arrived the room, toys and a trolley have been prepared for her. The breakfast was wonderful. My wife and my daughter were really happy during the stay. Best place ever!

  Very quiet and adequate. Beds clean and comfy. A lovely old house full of character which had a nice feel about it but very tired and dated. No problem with that as price was fair. Decorators were coming in as we were leaving so hotel is making effort. Wi-Fi very fast and reliable. Rather than catch a bus he offered to drop us off on his way. I don't think this sort of service would come from a 5 star international hotel.

  Lovely stay, great breakfast. Heather looked after us and any made us feel really welcome. We were given a choice of two rooms on arrival which was great. Nothing was too much trouble. The thermostat was adjusted so we had more heat in our room which was very welcome on a rainy day in the lakes(who'd have thought that could happen?) The guest room was very clean and well presented and we had everything we needed and the breakfast was to die for. Heather always made sure we had everything we wanted or needed during our stay. The location of Chestnuts was very good because it was a 15 minute walk to the shops and 20 minutes to the nearest lake. Me and my fiance will be going back there very soon... Easy to get to all places we wanted to visit and also had parking on the side of the property. Wonderful breakfasts.
