The welcome was warm and friendly, and being offered a pot of tea after a long drive is wonderful. Janet could not have done more for us. I usually stay in faceless hotels but decided to opt for something smaller just for a change, and this was a genuinely great find. Breakfast was lovely, and they accommodated our early start. Thanks to all at Park Cottage.

We really enjoyed our stay. Our hosts, James and Sandra were especially friendly and deserve mentioning. They recommended a couple of places to eat and we found this very helpful. They also gave good advice about what to do in Town, especially the half price coupons. Saved us a fortune. We were able to book tickets to Hamlet on the night as well a

Both Sandra and Jim were friendly, helpful, and making you feel welcome and at home. The set-up is very cosy and comfortable. Excellent cooked breakfast, with vegetarian option and plenty of healthy starters to choose from.

Carolyn the owner is so helpful. she makes you feel 'home from home'. Breakfast is wonderful, full english highly recommended. we used the b & B for one night, before flying from Birmingham. carolyn kindly let us leave the car there for four day, short taxi ride to the airport. all in all a great place to stay and a great service. many thanks

The gardens are beautiful, it was a pleasure to be in such lovely surroundings. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant and even though there was a wedding in progress we were very well looked after and the food was excellent (thanks chef!). Recently refurbished so decor of a high standard, room of a good size, extremely comfortable and we were lucky enough to have a fantastic view over the river. Although we were told the hotel was full, there was very little noise to disturb us. Nice touches include hairdryer, iron and ironing board in room, always very useful. - the inn was very old
