seriously, there's nothing to dislike. Peg and Rod are fabulous hosts. their accomodation wether it be their self catering cottages or BnB is 1st class.not 'posh' but comfortable, clean, friendly, well equiped and spacious.
we've been here now a number of times and cannot fault any of the facilities. -

Everything the owners were very friendly showed us to our room and the lovely smell of fresh linen when they opened the door was beautiful.They even had bottles of water for you wine glasses,mini fridge,corkscrew which in all the b and b's that we have stayed in never supply.The lovely smell of home baking that was made for you to take home was go

The B&B was immaculate, rooms spotless and bright. The most comfortable bed I have ever had the pleasure to sleep in. The breakfast was amazing the choice outstanding, fresh fruit cocktail, full cooked breakfast, smoked salmon and eggs, I could go on. Proprietors Kevin and Debbie were very helpful, even down to removing a stubborn curry stain from my T shirt on arrival. This hotel is a fabulous find... A must

we chose tho stay here as we didn't want to be right in the middle of town. It' s a 25 minute walk to the Minster though there is a bus stop right outside if you want save your legs. The location was nice & quiet with hardly any traffic. The room was large, clean & comfy & there was plenty of nice food for breakfast. The hosts were friendly & helpful & were able to give us some really useful information. We will definitely stay there again when we return to york next year.

It had a little frig too and was easy for my father to use as he required a walker. My room was in the main house, up some very steep narrow stairs. Getting my suitcase up those stairs

My wife and I stayed at the fifth milestone for two nights. This was our first get away for a long time and i couldn't be happier with our choice. The Welford is a small hotel that feels a bit like a B&B. The owner is very helpful and friendly without being pushy. We had a room on the street side of the first floor, with a very good bed. Parking opposite was free with a 24-hour license. Breakfast was complete and good. The location is in a quiet street a few minutes from the city center.

This is an excellent B&B and Millie is very friendly host. The room was beautifully decorated and was very comfortable and clean with coffee tea and biscuits available. The complementary Elemis products were an unexpected luxury.The breakfast was excellent, local sausage superb, with fresh fruit and wensleydale cheese also available. I would highly recommend this B&B.
