  The new managers had just taken over and had many issues to deal with. They made us feel very welcome and accomodated our needs well. The hotel needs some TLC but is comfortable and the rooms were adequate for the price. Overall, a nice place to stay near to the city (15 Min) walk or bus directly outside, generous parking area. - it was very hand... vad folk säger » y for the city, the rooms were clean and comfortable. there was ample free parking . the rates were very good . this is a very basic facility, but I would stay again. there was some road noise but I suspect they are in a conservation area so double glazing is not possible

  We arrived during a blizzard and were greeted by a Barman who was very friendly and took us to room,and made sure we had everything we needed.The room was lovely and warm and the view from our room stunning.We ate in the bar,the food was excellent and thae waiting staff very helpful.Sadly we only stayed one night,and left after a delicious breakfa... vad folk säger » st. - Every aspect of my stay was enjoyable, the room was very comfortable, the staff were polite and friendly,the food was tasty and well presented, the bar restaraunt and gardens were very popular with guests & non guests.Also the information available for local sights and activities etc was as impressive as the setting/views.

  I liked the friendly helpful hosts. I loved the extra finishing touches, such as sherry if you wanted to drink it, fresh flowers in my room, teas of all types, coffee and biscuits on a tray. Margaret and Steve helped me to my room which was luxurious and also brought all my things down when I was running late for my train. The breakfasts were supe... vad folk säger » rb. You going the extra mile with customer service and the - Very friendly and warm welcome to the accommodation, and it was nice to receive an email from the guest house prior to arrival asking for any special dietary or arrival requirements. Room was spotless and very comfortable. Hosts are very knowledgable of the local area and happy to help. Food was excellent. Would recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a relaxing stay close to York city centre with the Minster being around a 10min walk away.

  The guest hose is pretty close to the Whitby station, a 10 minutes walk away. The lady owner and her daughters were very nice, jolly and cordial. The room I was staying was a single room. Though a bit too small, but was enough for a single person to stay. Was clean and had a nice bed.
