The b & b owner, Jamie, was exceptionally helpful: we inadvertently
left a suitcase on the train when we got off at Musselburgh, and he
spent a long time on the phone, trying to find out how to locate it, or
how we should enquire about it. After our hotel in Edinburgh on the
previous two nights, Honest Toun was blissfully quiet. The bus fare to
Edinburgh is only £1.50, and buses are frequent, even on a Sunday
morning. Highly recommended.

The place is beautiful. It is a bit cut off (in the woods) which makes it excellent for relaxation but not very accessible by public transportation (you need to walk 30mins to get to the bus stop). The staff at this place are very professional, friendly and helpful. It is also very clean. Depending on the clients requirements, I do not hesitate to recommend this accommodation. Furthermore, it is reasonably priced compared to market prices.

We were there for my husband as he was doing the marathon. We couldn't have picked a better place, with a fully equipped kitchen enough space for my two boys. We came with no greater expectations because of the cheap price, but we were pleasantly surpriced! Clean room and friendly staff. Feeling like I was living with a family! honestly I didn't expect the room is big enough for ten people to live in, since we only had three people. Marvellous!
