  We had an exceptionally warm welcome at this comfortable guesthouse. Decor was homely without being twee; breakfast was really good: homemade bread, top-quality ingredients. Although it's located a bit away from the centre of Margate, it was a pleasant walk along the seafront to the Turner Contemporary and the Old Town. Easily one of the best places we've ever stayed in the UK, including some that were three or four times the price. - A warm welcome, Rob greeted me at the front door with my name and a smile. I had booked a single room but they upgraded me to a lovely Laura Ashley double room, that was cosy and beautifully decorated. This was a lovely gesture. The house is decorated beautifully throughout and full of period features. Breakfast was filling and very tasty. I was in Margate on business so I didnt explore the area but I would definitely stay here if I return again.

  Mike makes us feel right at home, warm and comfortable. The rooms are clean and tidy. They offer the best breakfast ever in Dover, and has the most beautiful flower beds with fig tree, grapes and olive trees.   Beautiful, historic setting. Most interesting collection of paintings to look at as you make your way to breakfast. Very helpful, professional staff. Found the Castle totally absorbing. The Guide Book covered the entire history of the Castle over many years. I knew of the Anne Boleyn connection, but not that of the Astor family. We had no particular expectation but were totally delighted with the who - It is a wonderful place in a beautiful location! You are made to fill important throughout your stay & nothing is to much trouble. Caroline made us feel welcome prior to arrival my answering questions via e mail. A lovely, relaxing weekend & the Castle & Grounds are stunning which when encompassed with the 5 Star Accommodation makes Hever almost impossible to beat!   Arrived early and rang to see if we could check in early - no worries! Sharon was very accommodating with requests (stored our luggage after check out so we could have a look around before leaving) and called us a cab when we left. She was informative, talkative and bright and the breakfast provided was one of the best we have had in our travels. ... vad folk säger » Castle House is quirky and comfortable and I will be recommending it to my friends. - We loved the room! It was very nicely decorated and the bathroom shower worked well. It was clean and met our needs for the night that we were there. The internet was good. The best was the wonderful English Breakfast! We would highly recommend this property and we would stay there again if we were ever lucky enough to go back to Dover!

It was very roomy with a seating area with settee which we appreciated - sometimes hotel rooms only have 1 chair.   We went for our first year anniversary. We couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The staff were helpful and left you to yourselves but at the same time made sure you were well looked after. The next morning the varierity of food was huge and everything was cooked and tasted lovely. 5* service. My room was nice and clean and the continental breakfast was very generous, with the option of a full English for an extra fee. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay.
