  I have stayed there numerous times before and each time I have found the staff very friendly and accomadating. Two of my children have held the complete wedding ceremony there. Both magical experiences. I have no hesitation in recomending this Hotel to others. - Lovely room overlooking the river, comfy bed, really lovely stay.   The staff were all excellent and extremely polite. I have stayed at far more expensive airport hotels and had much poorer service. The restaurant food was very good, but the chef needs to learn a little more about what medium and well done steaks are. They were both very undercooked.   The staff were very friendly and very helpful. It was excellent value for money, especially f you can get a room for 39.95 but not sure how you qualify for this. - Great value for money.   Really nice bar with very helpful and friendly staff. Good rooms with all facilities but adapted to fit the struceure fo the 400 year old building. Food was excellent.   I took my girlfriend away for the weekend, and we had an amazing time. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and the facilities are very modern and clean. The grounds are well kept and I proposed to my girlfriend in the rock garden, which looks like something straight out of a fantasy film. Wernher restaurant is quite exceptional. Golf course massive. Clay pigeon shooting top. Highly recommended as a historic and luxurious weekend. However I think you need to be in the main building - you wouldn't want to be in the modern block - no matter how sympathetically designed. That would eliminate the whole point of the experience.

  It was everything I have come to expect from Holiday Inns. Having use of the room until midday on departure day was an unexpected bonus. Evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. - the room was of a large size and very comftable. in a relaxing enviroment and east to locate.

  We were treated so well we felt like part of the family. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a great conversations with the Landlord and all off the Staff. The food we had was well prepared and nicely presented. Our room was clean and tidy with sufficient storage space. We will definitely go back and take friends along.   The accommodation was spotlessly clean, modern and comfortable. Great location for visiting Whipsnade Zoo as we were still able to walk into Dunstable in the evening where there were several good pubs and restaurants. Carmel could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The breakfast was also phenomenal - we would definitely stay here again. - I had read reviews and I wondered whether it could live up to expectations. It did more than this. I enjoyed the peaceful location and took advantage of the close proximity to 'The Downs' to have a Sunday morning walk. Needed the walk to burn off the extra calories from the excellent breakfast. Carmel was wonderful. She took time out to talk to her guests and had a good rapport with everyone.

  I liked the whole experience of staying for two nights. The rooms were scrupulously clean, very well proportioned and very comfortable. The little extras like a notepad in the room or the tissues, soap and good sized towels in the shower room made you feel that you were staying in a much more expensive hotel. Car parking was very generous. - The staff were friendly and pleasant, particullarly the gentleman on night reception who had to deal with unruly customers with very little support. The bathroom was excellent with a large walk in shower however it would be useful if we were informed on arrival that we had to request bath towels from reception as these are not automatically supplied.
