  Very helpful staff, clean and spaceous room. My room had a hair dryer full length mirror on double wardrobe door tea and coffee making facilities an fully equipped bathroom with complimentary toiletries and fresh towels daily. There was also a guide book with all local attractions and information.   The hotel was very comfortable and the staff service was great, i have absolutely no complaints. Wpuld definetly go back. - the hotel was very friendly and the food was lovely. the hotel had a nice cosy ambience to it.

  friendly and efficient, pleasant stay - although the hotel is a big old place the rooms were extremely clean the beds very comfortable, we didnt get a chance to eat breakfast as we awere leaving on the 6.15 ferry but was offered continental breakfast instead. excellent value for money and I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again

  Set in a stunning location, this Inn felt very cosy and Scottish. Our room was dressed with tartan and warm rich colours with a Scottish teddy bear on the bed. This is an old building so it creaks and the pipes whistle. The lady that met us on reception could not have been more welcoming and friendly. However, when we went downstairs we were told by a slightly rude man that our table was not - Excellent accommodation to a high standard and very clean. The staff are all friendly and more than welcome to help to make your stay enjoyable. The bar has an excellent choice and friendly atmosphere. The restaurant, well what can I say other than the best fresh and locally prepared food that I have had the pleasure of trying; eating in the restaurant is a must !!! The views of Loch Long are stunning, with other highly recommended attractions (Loch Lomond, Inverarary, Oban, Stirling etc) only

  Hotel well situated overlooking the Bay. Booking included continental breakast but we in fact got full cooked breakfast ! Very limited parking which LetsBookHotel.com did not say we had to book in advance however hotel managed to find us a space when we arrived.   I really loved staying here! Val is such a nice host. There's an excellent breakfast with lots of varieties and you fill out a paper with what you want -excellent service (I recommend the scrambled eggs). On my last day I had to leave early and I got a lunchbag with cheese rolls, juice, yoghurts, fruits etc., which was just perfect. I wou - In a beautiful location overlooking the bay and close to the centre of Oban we had a great visit. The rooms were spacious, tastefully decorated and clean, and the breakfast was copious and well-prepared.

  Overall very good, enjoyed our two night stay there with our son and his friend, 19 and 20 years. We were in Dunoon to do activiities ie, speed boat one day and quadbiking. Ideal base, the hotels own menu very reasonable, only used it one night and were very happy. Would recommend this hotel and would do again. lovely sea views for us. - The staff member we met was friendly, the food was lovely and great sized portions; we had booked for my partners birthday and the hotel had given us a free bottle of wine to celebrate his birthday. It was in a cooler in the room when we arrived, all in all it was an excellent hotel and night away.

Nicely, restored large house across from Oban bay, just far enough out of town to be walkable and quiet at same time. Beautiful views of Kerrera and sunset.   Raniven is a first class guest house. We had a room on the top floor. It was quiet and very comfortable with two easy chairs - a real treat! The buffet breakfast included not only a full continental breakfast, but several hot plates as well, and was easily comparable to the "Full Scottish" breakfast served at other B&Bs.

  This guest house should have a 5 star rating instead of the 4 it has. Absolutely beautiful from the car park to reception to the gorgeous bedroom(14) and the breakfast area. All spotless and a credit to the owners. The hotel is a pleasant walk into town it took us a leisurely 10 mins which was handy for the Ferry Terminal.   Loved the Swimming pool and Spa, amazing facilities with wonderful views and Craignure is best location on the island - right in the middle of the island so short travel both directions to Iona and Tobermory, Bar meals and Restaurant were 4/5 star - great food and staff - We liked everything the staff were very helpful.
