  The hotel is situated on the cliff top with a reasonable sea view from the gardens. Note that this also means that there is a 10-15 minute walk back from Mevagissey up a steep hill. The hotel is very clean and has ample car parking space. The room we had was on the ground floor and had a door opening directly to the garden which was very convenien... vad folk säger » t. Breakfast was very good full English. The staff were very friendly and helpful. All in all a very good hotel which I would gladly return to. - Great Hotel and superb food. Staff are friendly and professional. Lovely location with nice coastal walks into town. Real detail has been invested into the internal area in an effort to make guests feel special. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. Loved the opulent lounge area where you can chill out next to the open fire with a glass in hand and chat with other guests. As a romantic getaway this hotel is perfect.

  The young owners and their daughter were very welcoming and friendly, we were upgraded to a sea view for no extra which was lovely. Breakfast was great and relaxed.

  Everything! Danny & Helen were wonderful hosts; they remembered everyone by name, and will go out of their way to accommodate any of your needs. We are vegan - and they had no problem whipping up a FABULOUS vegan breakfast! Our 2 young children (age 10 & 6) were made very welcome. The owners, Danny and Helen were extremely helpful and full of information and tips.   If you want a formal 4/5 star environment, don't come to Lower Barn! It is informal, very friendly, eclectic in design and appearance - you could say "quirky" - and that isn't pejorative. Bright colours everywhere,clever ideas - .how many people would use a huge cable reel end as a dining table ? - on which we had excellent breakfasts Mike and Jan... vad folk säger » ie were excellent hosts, friendly and informative, and cook some very enjoyable food. Read the description of the place and the rooms, what you read i - When we arived, everybody was so nice. (and the stayed nice all the time!) Our chamber was like a little house and we had a tv with some nice dvd's, so we could watch a movie (or two). The colors in the room were fantastic! Every little thing was designed and it was beautiful. We had dinner at the bed and breakfast. That was amazing! There was also an hot tub. lovely!
