  We had a very friendly welcome from Liz who once showing us our room brought us a tray of tea and coffee and her homemade cookies. The room also was very clean exactly as the photos show. We were also asked our preference on breakfast and what time we would like. There was also unlimited refreshments in the room. (including bars of chocolate) At ... vad folk säger » breakfast we were offered a variety of food and unlimited choice, as well as very good conversation and was kindly offered a lift to pick our car up w - My boyfriend and I are young and needed a relaxing couple of days away from home and work. Liz and were both so smiley and helpful upon arrival, it was as if you were part of their family. The kitchen was full of goodies, breakfast cereal, tea, coffee, milk, eggs, butter and fresh bread. The scones with jam and cream were a lovely surprise too! The suite was spotless, the bed very comfy and the little touches made our evening very special.   This B&B is by far the warmest and most beautiful B&B I have ever stayed! I was greeted with a friendly welcome from the owners and a cosy warm log fire in the background. The rooms are large, very clean and have a lovely rustic feel to them. In the morning I was offered a range of breakfast from fruit to cereal to hot cooked food and agai... vad folk säger » n the lovely hot log fire in the background! The grounds around the B&B are spacious and beautiful. I loved this B&B so much I am now booking - David offered to drive me to the local pub and collect me when I had finished because I had been driving in thick fog in the dark and was nervous of going out in it again (and I needed some dinner). I settled on staying put and he kindly made me a sandwich to keep me going until my lovely breakfast the following morning. Thanks David x

  A friendly welcome and helpful staff. The room was comfortable and clean with a very nice bathroom featuring an excellent rainforest shower. The village is delightful and set amongst lovely countryside. It was a fine morning and we had breakfast outside on the sunny patio surrounded by flowers.   The Polstead Lodge is a home away from home. Exactly what we wanted, a comfortable room and a beautiful countryside setting away from the hustle and bustle of London. Dave and Maureen were fantastic hosts. We don't have a car and as Dave also drives a taxi, he picked us up from the station when we arrived and took us to a local pub each night f... vad folk säger » or dinner and only charged us for the station runs which was amazing! The breakfast was lovely, all local produce which was great. They also gave us - Maureen and Dave were very friendly,and it was a very relaxed and welcoming home,nothing was too much trouble for them,anything we wanted we just had to ask and we would certainly stay there again and would recommend them to our friends and family,it was a lovely bright room and you very much felt at home and easy....
