It took me sometime to find a B&B close to the town centre with reasonable price and I think this is the best place to stay for a short visit to Cardiff. Very relaxing, room had lots of character, breakfast was simple, pub downstairs was cheap and good food. We were looking for a relaxing night and we found it here. Location wasn't too far from the castle and Queen's, but beware that the address is actually 36, not 26. -

The Elgano exceeded all expectations.
My stay was on a weekend when the Welsh rugby team were playing so it was a busy weekend in the City centre.
I arrived at 7.30pm on Saturday and even though I arrived at what seemed a busy time in their restaurant/bar I was greeted with a hello by smiling and courteous members of staff and checked in promptly.

We had an amazing stay. The room was lovely, spacious and spotless. We had a very nice breakfast with plenty of choices. The hosts, James and Maria were most hospitable and made us feel welcomed. The room was large, very comfortable and very quiet. The included continental breakfast was varied and excellent quality and the optional hot breakfast was delicious. The townhouse is a comfortable 20 minute walk through a lovely extensive park adjoining a river to the centre of Cardiff. The staff was pleasant and helpful. The rooms were modest, but a great value for money and also very clean. The hotel is on a good location close to the city center, but still very peaceful and safe. Breakfast was excellent as well, fresh bread, yoghurts, fruit every morning. I would definitely come back to stay at the Beverley, especially if I come back with friends or family.

Very friendly, lovely seating decked area out front for relaxing in the evening, if you smoke it's ideal.
Unlike many hotels I've stayed in the WiFi was unlimited which meant I could browse and catch up easily and it was a decent speed too. Top marks for this!

The Owner was warm and welcoming. Noticing my use of a walking stick, she offered us the choice of 2 rooms, as she was concerned for my comfort. I have never had this consideration before!! The owner and morning breakfast staff (more so on Sunday morning) were very welcoming and helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, small but comfortable and suited our needs for 2 nights perfectly. We paid £35 pp per night each....a bargain really! The continental breakfast was the best I've ever had....lots of choice and plenty of it. -
