  My room had a lovely view of the river, and in general was very spacious and comfortable. When I arrived at the hotel, I had a business arrangement to attend in another part of the city, and the staff at the hotel were more than willing to assist me with directions. I would also praise their efficiency, politeness and manner in general.   Staff super friendly- I work in hospitality service (ski resort a la cArte restaurant), so very sensitive to good or bad service , room up to date and clean, ate in the hotel- food was fine, I had the mushroom risotto which was said to have wild/Forrest mushrooms but came with run of the mill button mushrooms.   My husband and i were made to feel very welcome as soon as we arrived, this continued throughout our week long stay, Avalon is a wonderful place to stay, it is quite central so getting out and about is very easy, and the staff have great knowledge of the area enabling you to make the most out of your holiday. We plan to go back there very soon. ... vad folk säger » Thank you very much for taking care of us - The owners were so friendly and helped with information on local restaurants and entertainment.There was a very large selection for breakfast with a great choice for cooked breakfast and fresh coffee. With a side entrance you felt you could come and go without disturbing the owners or other guests ( and no curfew times). The guest house deserves all the plaudids and awards.
