  This hotel has impressed me: 1st, the host (Marion) makes you feel at home and gives you useful instructions and tips. Then, the room was spacious, confortable and clean. Plenty of details (plug adapter, kettler & cookies, sewing kit, hair dryer, cottons, body cream, ipod player ...). Several options for breakfast in a lovely, cozy environment... vad folk säger » . Location is great, you can either walk or take a bus/taxi. Plenty of restaurants in the nearby area. I will definately come back. - When we arrived the introduction/explanation of services etc was good with clear, simple explanation of what to do and where things were. The 'owners' were very welcoming. Brown's was very clean; there was good provision of every day items, teas, coffees and toiletries. Breakfast was also good with a good range of items. No critique at all.

  Welcome breakfast basket, heated mirror in bath, heated towel racks inbath, good location near everything, extremely helpful staff, very cleanand comfortable, nice decor - Staff was friendly, well organized. Rooms were well stocked, location to Tatoo/castle was fantastic.

  The owners are totally committed to providing a quality experience to their guests. It seems a range of languages are spoken and there were many Continental European guests though all are welcome. The location is excellent with very regular buses taking you to the city centre and sights. Good breakfast with self serving coffe/tea, juice, cereal and yogurt. I had scrable eggs on toast, but you can get a full Scottish breakfast. Staff very friendly. I'd like to stay longer to interact with them. Definitely I'll came again.

  The owner was so friendly and really made you feel at home. Breakfast was lovely, more than I could eat, and when we needed to be up and out early on Sunday, he was happy to bring breakfast forward for us. Best of all, I was never cold - radiator was more than up to the job of heating the room. Definitely stay there if I g - Rooms and public area renovated or kept in excellent shape with new furnishings; beautifully decorated. Host Bill friendly and helpful. Good Wifi. Instant coffee powder and milk generously supplied and replenished. In easy reach of centre, with necessities shopping, pubs and eateries nearby. Sufficient public parking space, bus stop a few meters away. Not exactly cheap in overall terms, but good value for Edinburgh (sigh).

  Stylish balcony apartment in peaceful waterfront development. Kitchen exceptionally equipped, all areas immaculate, plenty of hotel-type comforts provided eg shampoo, soap, coffee, tea, and handy extras eg washing up liquid and cloths, binliners etc. No prob checking in early.   Very clean, everything you need in stock at no additional charge: 2 bathrooms, linens, towels, shampoo, soap, dishes, microwave oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, refrigerator, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, cleaning products, coffee, tea, sugar, and so on. It had a lovely lounge and kitchen area with plenty of seating & comfortable sofas. It was good to have the balconies to go out onto. The kitchen had all vital facilities and plenty of cutlery. The bedrooms had ample storage space and wardrobe areas so were great. Overall a lovely clean apartment.

  we liked everything. We arrived on Fri 10th May and were made very welcome by Angela. Shown to our lovely room, offered coffee and Angela gave us lot's of information on places to go, eat etc. It was great not having to use the car for 3 days as the bus stop not far and took us into Edinburgh. There were many many more choices if you did not want the cook - We chose this because we don't like to be in the center of the big towns we visit. The Portobello beach is also close, a stunning place, really worth a visit. Loved the host, very nice lady and very pleasant. Loved the stories she told me about the house.   The efficiency and friendliness of the staff, especially in the dining room. With a Premier Inn you know just what to expect, comfortable beds, cleanliness and welcome, at a reasonable price. The three children like the flexibility of the children's meal options and the breakfasts are very good. The c - the hotel is basic but new....we had the disable room, and the bed was fantastic!l chose this hotel because of no frills but new and fresh.....great for visiting the city on foot, and lots of pub/ restaurant open till late, when we came back at evenings after Sightseeing....the breakfast was good for £8.50, with lots of choices.

  We transferred to Stay City after cancelling another hotel nearby which was sub-standard. We loved Stay City - the apartment we got was fantastic, staff couldn't be more helpful in rearranging the double bed into a twin for us or in providing us with maps and information. There's a local shop around the corner and a tesco express / sainsbury's express 2-3 mins walk away. This was excellently locat - Family with 2 with teenage kids, It was an extremely clean and modern apartment with a well equipped kitchen and furnishings. It appeared to be brand new. Very warm in fact almost to warm we ended up sleeping with the window open even though it was snowing. Comfy double bed with sliding doors separating it from the kids sleeping on the sofa beds in the lounge area. This was much better than having a family room in a hotel. It was an easy walk into to the city centre but in a quiet location. We

  Everything about this hotel was incredible - we found ourselves wanting to stay longer - Gaia at the front desk reception was so very helpful, friendly and enthusiastic about the property. Our room was spacious and included anything one might need for extended stays. The "Roxburgh's Court Close" location was not as difficult to find and ac - The apartment space was luxurious, comfortable, very well thought out and utilised - with modern open-plan living in mind, balcony with fold back door to seamlessly bring the outside space in, serviced to a high standard daily; friendly and very helpful staff. Very central location at the 'Lawnmarket' on the 'Royal Mile' in the Old Town, in the shadow of the castle itself - great for sight- seeing most within a very short walking distance and only a short bus ride to others.
