  Walton was extremely functional and efficient in busy Edinburgh. Visitors intending to spend more time out of the room than in will find it fuss free, clean, and functional with a touch of comfort. The family room was great. Was in after the reception was closed and out before it opened. Had no problems.   Thanks for a great experience in Edinburgh. The Randolph Mackensie really did prove to be one of the highlights of the trip. I've been apprehensive of guest houses but this place has removed any doubts for the future.   Beautifuly decorated and very comfortable place to stay. Dean is a wonderful host - we felt like visiting an old friend. Good location as Edinburgh's Grouse House is situated in walking distance to all the attractions but far enough from them to easily find free parking.
