We loved the apartment. Just big enough for a couple, with a separate living area. Nice big comfortable bed in the bedroom. Free Wi-Fi. Dishwasher and washing machine, microwave, fridge and all the kitchen stuff one may need. I liked the shower gel and shampoo the apartment provides (full-size easy to use bottles as opposed to standard hotel stuff). Location-wise, it's about a ten-minute walk from Princes Street, with lots of restaurants and pubs in the neighbourhood. You also get 10 to 20% off. alla recensioner »
We only booked an apartment as we couldn't find a hotel. We were pleasantly surprised with Fountain courts & the equipment , washing machine & dishwasher plus the usual. We found the apartment much more relaxing & we had more freedom about breakfast & dining in. Would definately stay here again.Staff were friendly & helpfull. Easy walk to the castle & city centre.
Everything was excellent, simple without luxuries but with all important things available, and very clean and comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen, washing and drying machines for clothes and dish, with tablets for use. Compliment sugar, coffee, tea and cream. Central heating, iron, stereo and nice flat tv... all great!.
I really like here and highly recommend this hotel. They have private and fully-equipped kitchen. It's really helpful to wash our laundry by machine for a long-time traveler. The living room is quite big. It's near to castle and train station. This hotel likes second home! I will live here again!.
The apartments far and away look better in person. It was quiet, comfy, kitchen was fully equipped ... l felt like I was staying at home except it was much cleaner. They are close to the airport but only a 15 minute walk to town. There are also plenty of bars and restaurants in the area.
My husband and I normally stay in a hotel when we visit Edinburgh, but on searching for accommodation we came upon the apartment as price was very reasonable. So glad we did, cannot fault, location, comfort, cleanliness, attention to detail first class. Will definitely be back.
The apartment is perfectly located : not far from the centre and in a quiet area.
The staff is gentle and ready to support in any need and/or request.
Some defects as hot water ( at least in my apartment, not sure in the others) but the staff did the best to solve.
Tha appartment was very spacious and comfortable. The situation was very convenient for public transport and the city centre. On two occasions in the morning the boiler stopped working and both times the staff sent someone to sort it out almost immediately.
Beautiful apartment! It had everything and even a surprise mini washer! everything was there! very clean. very comfortable. and even a person came to the household! I highly recommend this place. Close to everything! I had a good stay! very happy.
Everything except the boiler breakdown on our last morning - so no shower or heating. HOWEVER, we called and 2 engineers arrived within minutes and sorted the problem - most impressive (though sadly too late for us!),.
The centrality of the location in relation to others places and activities in the city. The place is clean and looks exactly as the photos suggest. It is a full service accom and has dishwasher and washing machine.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was exactly what we wanted for a week away. We could have our own space and cook for ourselves in the kitchen that had most things we needed.
Great location for getting around the city. Nice to have so much more space than you would have in a bnb or hotel. Will be staying there again when we next visit the city.
Layout of the apartment,
Decor was not dowdy or ultra modern
Tv etc
Good number of power points
Lighting was good and convenient for reading.
Great apartment at harris fountain court. It had everything and much more!! One of the best place I ever stayed!! I highly recommend it.
The apartment was very nice in a quiet area. The cleaning service was excellent and the recepcionist in Gloove Street was very friendly.
Clean and tidy Functional Easy access and short work to a Tesco Short
walk to Grassmarket area of Edinburgh and Royal mile.
24 hour recption nearby. Close to conference centre. would be good for a family in view of it's facilities. Quiet.
Clean and silent apartment in central zone(15 mins from the castle, 2
mins from Airlink, 2 mins from supermarket).
A very different feel to a hotel, having your complete own space. Close
to the City Centre and West End.
The helpfulness of the staff. The wireless did not work, and someone came immediately and worked at it.
ideally sited and equipped for our short break,we could do our own thing without going by timetables.
Liked the apartment so much we booked an extra night. Great location, had everything we needed.
This hotel is very comfortable. It makes you feel like at home. And the staff is very friendly.
How modern and convenient the apartment was. we also got a free upgrade which was very good!.
Good location. apartment large and had all the facilities you would need - impressive.
Clean and roomy apartment which had everything we needed. Quiet with comfortable bed.
Pretty good apartment, very close to Haymarket, only 20 minutes walk to city centre.
Very convenient apartment with all the things you need or can possibly think of.
Location good left alone knowing there were services and people
if required.
It was great having the washer/dryer and that tablets were left out for it.
loved fact that there was loads of coffee, sugar and tea and proper mugs.
The location is perfect and its great to have secure parking available!.
Excellent location, complete equipment, amazing value for money.
Great price.excellent location-equipped with all what you need.
Friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, ambiance, location.
Well located and spacious; completely self contained!!.
Really nice apartment, helpful staff, great location.
I think the location because is close all the things.
Very lovely place !!!! I m quite satisfied.
Clean, functional and excellent service.
the ease of the whole stay, great value.
nice and clean rooms and nice location.
location, quietness, visit, ambiance.
it was clean, cosy and well located.
Location, cost and facilities.
Ideally Located, Well Equiped.
spacious apartment.
Everything.
It was clean enough, the staff seemed quite friendly. The location was
quite good -as it said on the website, it was indeed just a 20 minute
walk to the castle. We stayed just two nights so it suited our needs
really well.
The only thing I can think of is that reception is in a different street (5 min walk from Fountain Court Morrison). It's not a problem but it's something you need to know in case you have heavy luggage as you'll have to walk all the way back to Morrison Street after getting the key from reception.
Some of the furnishings were a little shabby & we heard a lot of noise from the road outside.
No dislikes. Just could have pillows with different heights, but we didn't ask the reception, probably would be available.
nothing.
Nothing.
A bit expensive regarding the size : very cute but not large.
Boiler problems - worrying, although dealt with perfectly by the staff. Lack of convenient car parking. Having to collect keys from a different location.
nothing to say!.
Th price 45 pounds per night is a bit misleading. This time of year, there does not seem to be that price range. There is a late check out fee of 10 pounds per hour; there is no lift and there is a bad smell in the front entrance of the first floor. The reception is not on the building that you stay.
There were a few minor problems like the bathroom lock being missing, but nothing major.
The bath was higher than normal and not easy to enter and exit . I am 74 and reasonable fit, some one with arthritic pain might find it difficult. A little stool would assist.
The positive point about "quiet area" is perfect if you don't travel alone. On the other hand, because some road-workings we hadn't hot water twice. First of them, we went to the reception and they came to fix it. The next time, I tryed to call them because we hadn't time for going to the reception and the telephone didn't work properly. So, have the reception in other different place-street is not a good idea if something happen.
None significant.
Not that easy to locate reception or apartment. If you are a solo traveller, you probably don't need such a range of facilities.
We had some problems with the old boiler, we called the assistance twice
in 5 days. The problems were solved in a couple of hours.
WiFi did not work (password given was incorrect) The very early check-
out time of 1030.
Little noisy, banging doors.
there could have been better instructions to operate the heating,it was set to off when we arrived,(understandable).however when working it was v.good.
Morrison Street is very busy so if you want to ensure a good night's sleep it would be best to request a flat at the back.
It is a litte bit difficult to find the room.
There was a tissue under the bed, which hadnt been cleaned up from last guest. The apartment was hot, and the windows were difficult to open.
£ 50 were blocked additionally to the cost.
Not exactly in the city centre but the short walk did not bother me at all.
The stairs.
The noisy pub across the road.
distance between apartment and reception.
The street side rooms can be noisy due to the traffic.
As noted: no lift, and the reception is down the road.
No listed phone number to call reception.
Wifi Speed gets very slow at times.
Room on the third floor with no elevator; not advertised!!.
Heating was on full when we arrived - absolutely boiling!.
everything is all right!.
The hallway leading to the apartment could do with freshening up, but this is only a minor point and did not in any way spoil the enjoyment of our trip.
would have been better to arrange for a umbrella in the room as with the climate condition in edinburgh it is an essential item.
Check in quite late.
The bed was extremely hard, and had a basement room with no view - we
really would have been happier with something above ground level. You
can feel the rumblings when a train goes past. We thought the 10 pound
parking per day was a little expensive -particularly as it wasn't
even at the apartment block so we had to walk our luggage to and fro.
