Cindy the owner / operator is a fantastic hostess. She'll tell you herself that the hotel is "not the Ritz, it's a budget hotel" and "no frills but plenty of fuss" but she's lovely, ensures that all guests are very well looked after and made to feel at home and part of the family.
The breakfast is excellent and well worth the £5 per day we were charged.
Douglas is the best place to base yourself if you are going to the Isle of Man as you can easily get to the many historic attractions around th. alla recensioner »
this B&B is on the sea front at the shops end of Douglas prom. The rooms are spacious and clean and most have en-suite but I would ask to make sure. Cindy, the owner is on call 24/7 and goes out of her way to make sure you are happy. Breakfast at just £5.00 is superb and you can eat as much as you want. She lets you bring take aways into the kitchen where you can use her facilities eg plates cups knives etc. She tells you on arrival that this is your home for the next few days so you can tr.
We had to come to the Isle of Man for a funeral, we have been in the past and thought we new the Isle. How wrong was i the Berkeley House was just what I needed as I was escorting my wife and two sister in laws. The welcome we got was just what we needed to lift everybody's spirits and made the visit a pleasant stay under the circumstances.we would come again and recommend staying here, the breakfast was great value and hit the spot.Cindy is an excellent host and I as the sign says come as guest.
Offers very nice service with such a budget price. What I am mostly satisfied is the breakfast. This hotel offers excellent breakfast with very nice food and it is very tasty. Besides, the owner offers very nice suggestion on travelling and offers us free storage of luggage for the last day before our leaving. If you are looking forward to a budget hotel that is close to the sea terminal, bus station and railway station, this hotel should be among your choices.
We came here from Friday to Monday as soon as we arrived we were greeted by a lady called Cindy who is very friendly and helpful and makes you feel at home from morning to night, our room was very clean and tidy and was cleaned everyday throughout our stay, the breakfast was amazing and filled you up for the day, great location and would highly recommend this accommodation thanks for the great stay Cindy hope to see you again soon Jeanette and Darren.
We where looked after very well at Berkeley house. The landlady and her staff where very friendly and help full. always arose in the morning to to big smile and friendly good morning. Then a hearty breakfast to follow. Could not fault it. We had excellent days out on the steam and electric railways, the staff are very knowledgable. In Ramsey we would like to highly recommend Gophers Cafe/restaurant.Over all we had a very pleasant few days.
The landlady was absolutely marvellous. She was very welcoming and friendly and couldn't have done more for us. When my friend had to leave earlier than expected on the final day, she refunded his breakfast costs without us even asking. What excellent customer service! The breakfasts were really good too and the landlady had no problem with us bringing a takeaway into the lounge if we fancied eating dinner in.
Very good value for money. Buffet breakfasts were great with enough to keep two hungry veggies full up til lunch time! Great location on the promenade. Cindy was very welcoming and helpful. On our last day, the weather wasn't up to much, Cindy was letting her guests know that they would still be welcome to use the guest lounge and use left luggage facilities.
The hotel owner kindly let us check-in early which was a great help with our toddler. She was always on hand to make sure we were comfortable and happy with the room. Her attention to detail made our holiday so relaxing and we hope to return and stay at the hotel again. Great location for restaurants and shopping in Douglas and convenient for the ferry.

fantastic service and a very friendly atmosphere.
You're that well looked after that any minor niggles that some people may want to moan about become irrelevant.
There is no lift at Berkeley House and the rooms are on several floors. If stairs are an issue then just ask cindy for a first floor room and she will be happy to help.
The weather at this time of year but it did blow the cobwebs away and can nether be guaranteed be anyone LOL.
Shopping is much as in any other town in Brittain. Very run down with the same shops surviving. Shame.
We had to be careful of an uneven floor in our room by the bathroom door but apart from this minor issue, everything was good.
