  The attirude of the staff who were all very friendly and helpful. The facilities in the room were excellent, it was nice to have not only a wardrobe of decent size but also a number of drawers.The food was excellent, both breakfast, evening meal and bar meals. There were good walks available in the area and the railway station was close by if you ... vad folk säger » wished to travel elsewhere. - We arrived evening 8.30 ish after a long drive, your staff were very helpful and pleasant, they advised where we could eat as the restuarant would be closed by the time we had settled in, our room was very comfortable and clean, breakfast was easy, and the dining room fabulous, with it's chandeliers. Well placed to visit the Gormley statues. A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

  It is a very unusual hotel! Run by a local authority which must be a very enlightened one. It is modern and has a wonderful atmosphere. There were lots of groups of children and adults enjoying the facilities both inside and out. The view from the dining area made our stay special with stunning sunsets to accompany dinner and watersport activity to watch during bre - The staff were delightful -unfailingly helpful and friendly, Beds were comfortable and our room had a lovely view overlooking the lake. Bedrooms are huge and it was very quiet at night. We were attending a family event locally, but it is a good value for money base for exploring Liverpool, which is only a short train ride away, or for exploring up the Lancastrian coast,

  The Family Room had a mini kitchen and a large bathroom with both bath and shower. As one of the children was not well during the weekend this all proved useful. The views were fabulous and the location was so close to many amenities. - Everything from friendly welcome through to breakfast the next day.
