  being at Broughton House is like being with family in that you have cate to look after you just like any good mum would when you go home.....and she cannot do enough for you,she is super happy and her cooking is legendary. The breakfast was great food and loved fact we could say what time we would like to eat Bed really comfy and homemade biscuits and chocolate brownie was added bonus. Cate was clearly a people person, she was slightly eccentric which was endearing ( hope she doesn't mind me saying so ). She worked really hard to make sure we had everything we needed, even finding a recipe for hash browns for my husband Will definitely book again

  The pub has a really nice old country coaching inn feel. They have fantastic food and real ales and open log fires. The rooms are clean, warm and cosy. - Friendly welcoming staff, comfortable room, lovely breakfast. Dogs allowed in rooms and paved areas of bar / dining room. Highly recommended.

  My partner and I enjoyed our stay so much as we had never stayed in such a beautiful hotel before. It was just what we were looking for a bit of peace and quiet. Every room in the hotel such as the lounges had beautiful log fires, which we enjoyed a few mulled wines whilst having a lovely relaxing sit down.
