  Staff were very friendly and helpful. The downstairs rooms were lovely, it's easy to see what a great house the building must once have been. The room was excellent value for money, especially as the price included breakfast, and the location is good, only 10 mins walk down the hill into Bath. Don't let your satnav take you through the scary backs... vad folk säger » treets with steep roads, the hotel is easily reached by bigger and less scary ones! - V friendly staff - good setting up the hill from the city but with a fine view from upper floors - bedroom was functional clean comfortable with a v powerful shower - and although the decor was a little tired and dated it added to the overall feel of an old English hotel from years ago - so whilst that could seem negative in fact it added to the fun of the one night stay.

  A luxurious feel to the rooms, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was well kitted out and the bed was very comfortable. Just what you want for a couple of nights away. The view from the window, which looks out over a cricket pitch and Bath abbey, was beautiful, lovely for sitting eating and watching the world go by. I will be recommending this place to everyone! - The rooms were amazingly decorated and very spacious and clean. We had a ground floor room with a conservatory and our daughters were on the first floor. There was a small kitchen in each room which we only used for coffee/tea, but you could do some self catering. It was great having a car park and the walk into the town centre was a 5-10min stroll across the Pulteney Bridge. Would definitely stay here again on next visit to Bath.

  Varmt välkomnande. Bra service. God mat och ett fantastiskt rum - The hotel was lovely. The setting was beautiful, the rooms were spacious, attractive and very clean. The whole setting had a wonderful atmosphere. The food and drinks were excellent, and the staff could not have done more to make us comfortable.   Great welcome, I arrived late and the dining room had closed, but they booked me in with no fuss. The menu was broad, good affordable wine list and the cooking was excellent.   The room was comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities and a big bathroom. A great state of the art gym with all the machines and weights you would hope for- these seemed almost brand new!   The accommodation was immaculate, good location very central, was a little noisy due to being in center of town. No car parking but car park only about 5 mins walk away cost £12 per day to park.   My husband and I just had a wonderful couple of nights at Oldfields. What made it so special was how friendly the staff are - making us tea/biscuits on arrival and when we got back from a long day out the following afternoon, and giving us helpful info on Bath (where to go, where to eat out etc.). We had a deluxe four poster and it was - We received a wonderful warm welcome from the proprietors,even though we arrived before usual check in. Time. We were given lovely tray of tea & bikkies in their gorgeous regency communal lounge while the attractions of Bath were explained to us. Even though we had chosen the less expensive loft room, the decorations were lovely & it was very comfortable, with a/con(which was very necessary because of the afternoon sun), which made the room very comfortable.   Very quiet. Slept well. I stayed before in Bath city centre hotels and the noise from the street made it hard to sleep full nights. But it was great at the university of Bath. It is a bit out of the city, but then again, it is quiet. Also has great facilities on-site: supermarket, cashpoints, post office desks, bars, etc. - Room was larger than e... vad folk säger » xpected - despite having booked a single I got a small double bed which was lovely. Breakfast was also good and while the uni is out of town the bus runs every ten or twenty minutes from around 7.30 to midnight so getting around wasn't a problem. For the price it's a bargain.

  The hotel was full of character and well thought out. The staff were unbelievably helpful and nothing was too much trouble... they even dried our swimmers for us on our last day! The room was small, but clean, which is most important! We only stayed one night and spent most of time exploring Bath so the size of the room didn't hinder our comfort.
