The guesthouse had a very warm atmosphere, felt instantly like a home. The decoration was designed with taste and focused on comfort, while cleanliness was clearly considered a priority as well. Breakfast was served with a smile and a very friendly chat, and the size of the guesthouse ensured there were some other guests, but noise or crowded spaces were never an issue. It was a lovely break from daily life, and I would certainly recommend it.
alla recensioner » My friend and I stayed in a twin room here for 3 nights. The guesthouse is warm and comfortable both in terms of the rooms and the lovely guesthouse owner who was very attentive during our stay. The breakfast was good quality as was the coffee, tea, biscuits provided in the room everyday. The guesthouse is just outside Bath centre but there are frequent buses and the Royal Crescent is only 35 min walk away. Would definitely recommend :-). Simply wonderful. The host is very welcoming and warm. Rooms are lovely, clean and spacious enogh. There are nice details throughout the house. Breakfast with a variety to choose from is delicious. The location is little out of Bath itself, but the bus service is great and there's a bus stop literary infron of the house. I couldn't have asked for anything better. Very nice and very English location, so I could feel the English culture in all the small details: location, view from the window, room furnishing. Very good breakfasts, that the host herself cooks. The host was very helpful and took some time to discuss with me what was worth seeing and how to best get around. Location is very good even if you do not have a car. Breakfasts were excellent and Maureen gives you a feeling of being family who have just returned from a long trip away, very welcoming. The two old ladies were quite warm-hearted and responsible. The house was very clean and tidy. The place is a bit afar from the city center but the bus service is very convenient there. Everything about this accommodation was excellent. Good local knowledge. Fairly close to city centre. Quite area. It is a bit outside of Bath itself, so you are up for a walk, bus or taxi ride. Although the bathrooms aren't strictly en-suite, I didn't have any complaints about the cleanliness. Everything was fine, the minuses are really not significant, just an observation. A bit far away from the Bath city center - you can still get there by foot, but it's a bit tiresome, so need to take a local bus. My room was rather tiny, so the toilet and shower were not en-suite. However, there was only one other room on my floor, with their own en-suite toilet and bathroom, so I didn't have to share. It's just the inconvenience of not having the facility inside your room. Nothing. Although I did not have en-suite, the location of the bathroom was just a few steps away from my door and it posed no problems. None. Disappointed the TV didn't work. If you're really tall don't stay on the top floor - you'll struggle in the shower with its sloping roof!!. A bit far from the city centre if you don't have a car. WiFi internet access is very poor. Nothing. Bathroom very small.
