this hotel. There is a small exhibition area on the fourth floor about
this and other historic moments. The elevator from 1895 can still run

A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

We have stayed at Faik Pasha for two nights. This hotel is an excellent option in İstanbul. We chose this hotel due to the Taksim square protests. Great location. Easy to move from there to visit the city and rich of bar pub cafe and nightlife. Nearby Karakoy a dinamic district with many lovely restaurant and the great istanbul modern, a museum you might see.
The hotel is in an historic building but it is fully renovated and the result is a mix of historic perspective and contemporary taste. Everyone is very nice and gentle . Perfect for couple

Really good offer for the money it costs. Location just 3 minutes from Taksim square. 40 minutes walking distance from Galata bridge by Istikal street.
Room were nice, not that big but cozy. Good wifi in room ( we even saw movies on-line)
Breakfast weary good plenty of staff both hot dishes and Yogurts/ jams/ cheeses. Great pastry like very where in Stambul)))).
