The suite is a small apartment with a small kitchen opened on the living room.
Much better than a classic hotel room if you intend to spend time in your room.
Location is right on Taksim place, in front of Gezi park and Divan hotel. The downside is that it is a bit noisy with ongoing roadworks and traffic at this time. -

Konak is within a short walk of the Istanbul Congress Centre as well as the subway, tram and Taksim Square. The staff were really helpful and there was usually someone around speaking English. Good breakfast and reasonable restaurant. Very nice bathrooms.

They accepted our requests (we had crazy arrival and departure times) and informed us about the things to see in the city and how the transportation system worked. I had a delightful surprise staying at the Taksim Star; very impressed by the room, soft yet crisp sheets; the bathroom was really clean, too!! staff was very much cooperative Dorsun and abdulatif and the lady whi
speaks Arabic I forget her name but she helped a lot and advise me

Location - there's probably no better location in the new part of Istanbul. The hotel is literally 3 minutes talk from Taksim square, which is where all transportation go through.
