Friendly front-desk staff & room cleaner.
Breakfast tea very bad. No Lipton tea bags. No green tea. etc.. Very Bossy manager going around the guests the whole time.

Internet connection was very poor, I had to work at the restaurant at the top of the roof Samm rooms Very annoying men approaching me on the street for "friendship". Had to stop walking alone and signed up for the tours...
Staff are friendly that you would mistake them for ordinary turkish personality. Hotel location is very good for those want to stay around tourism locations. Rooms are equal to their price and star class. Food is good, supported with dinner option..
It can be improved on the type of food served for the sake of diversity!
it's clean, it's comfortable, good breakfast and great location
The rooms were very clean and the shower was lovely. The staff very friendly, especially the reception staff, who helped us with transfers and luggage storage.
The rooms are a little small if you wanted to spend more than just one or two nights there. The walls are a little thin, when the telephone rang in the next door room, it sounded as if it was in our room.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and confortable even though a little small, but totally acceptable. Breakfast was fresh and good. Walking distance from all major sites and a lovely view from the dinng area.

Room cleaners did poor job at cleaniless, broke glass in room, did not discard waste, did not replace coffee and toilet paper.

room is very small even for double. Requested for a double bed but did not get it. Breakfast variety not there (stayed for 8 days)
The Russian pool guy was amazing in the indoor pool. Good breakfast. Great spaghetti in room service. Room very clean. Great view from terrace.
This hotel catered for all of our needs whilst in the wonderful city of Instanbul. It is a two minute walk from the nearest tram line, which will transport you to all areas of the city with ease. The breakfast was plentiful, the beds comfortable and the staff amiable. What more could you ask for???
Very good breakfasts, lovely view form terrace and from roof swimming pool, good location, rooms are not very spacious but comfortable.
Neighbourhood can be quite noisy, especially during weekdays, since there are a lot of shops open from dawn till dusk in this district.

This hotel was amazing!!! We arrived late in the evening, about 11 pm, and they called for the chef and opened the restaurant just for us, and got two waiters to serve us! This was absolutely mind-blowing, in the end we even got free coffee and kids got free desert. Overall, the service at this hotel was incredible - the free fruit basket upon arrival, roof top terrace for breakfast, with views to die for...and the swimming pool on the roof, with a bar, and music. The staff make you feel totally at home, and very welcome! I would highly reccomend this hotel! Locationwise - we could walk to the mail places of interest, and Grand Bazar - about 15-20 minutes. Direct neighbourhood is full with shops (clothes, shoes etc) . Really, we are impressed! Thank you for a perfect stay!

The rooftop pool was fantastic. Fresh towels and sun loungers. Location, convienance and closeness to metro was great.
Noise on the street. We stayed in a front room and the noise was dreadful at night and early morning

The desk staff was very friendly and usually very helpful but there was occasionally some difficulty communicating as I only speak English. The rooms were very clean and the houskeeping staff were very accomodating. The hotel was very close to the tram so transportation to the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace and other areas was very easy and inexpensive. There was a very good buffet in the hotel for both breakfast and dinner and there were also some very nice restaurnts within walking distance.
The carpet in the room was badly in need of replacement. Also the showers are small enclosures and larger people will struggle to fit inside.

The Grand Washington hotel was located in an ideal location for exploring the city - walkable to the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar, and other cultural sites. The staff was very accommodating - when we had problems with our first room, they rushed to switch us to a larger and more comfortable room. The manager even ensured delivery of a fruit plate to the room, as well as a gift of a doll to our baby daughter. The staff went above and beyond, always going out of their way to be helpful. The breakfasts in the rooftop restaurant were delicious and filling, providing us with ample energy for our long walks through Istanbul. All in all, a highly enjoyable stay - and we very much recommend this hotel to others.

i go with my friend we had really nice experience with them there very kind, environment is very friendly, food quality is awesome, room service too, massage swiming pool sona steam bath every thing is perfect like 5 star they make our journey very especial and i tell you one more thing i forget my wallet at my room and i am very worry about my credit card and ids they email me for my full address so they send my wallet back..
notting they are very much kind.. no chance that we dislike any thing about them.. :)
Super friendly staff, makes you feel you and your request are the most important! clean and tidy. Incredible spa!!! Wonderful view on rooftop restaurant... romtic breakfast! Only can recomend it!

We enjoyed our 6 days stay at Grand Washington Hotel. The rooms were comfortable and clean. It is visible the hotel was recently renovated. The location and breakfast were decent. The top swimming pool was ridiculously small, even though on the photos it looked bigger. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our time relaxing on the terrace.
The staff does not speak english well. They are a little bit obsessed with the room minibar control. One day we had 3 different guys asking how many drinks we took from the minibar. This was annoying.
The breakfast was very poor. Our room though non smoking stank of smoke when the office opposite our room was used (which was every day we were there). Our carpet was stained and dirty. There was damp on the ceiling.

The showers
Do not go to the spa...they are a rip off and unprofessional. During my wifes and my massage they left to help other customers and answer phones!!! They even argued with each other. The short guy that walks around shirtless is a pervert and kept insisting to massage my wife even after she said no several times that she wants a female. Seems like they make the spa their home. Unprofessional and because of the spa staff we will not return to this hotel
Staff is OK. Location is good.
Suit has to be renovated. TV is ugly. SPA is very small, do not be fooled by photos.
Personnel service thanks to Ozkan and Erol go out of their way to help with any situation or advise location to all important attractions and transport around the corner very cheap so we r staying on way back there again .Kurdas family from Melbourne Australia
Nice location - walking distance to main attactions.
Lousy service. One of our bathrooms stank of sewage. When we asked to change rooms the same night, we were promised this would be ok next morning. Next day they knew nothing, then wanted to give us a cramped room way below what we had paid for, then suggested to give us some refund and put us on the street! Only after insisting did we get to two adjacent rooms. Never any apology. Had also to insist to get a receipt for transfer to airport. We will never go back to this hotel!
