  This resort is best for couples and honeymooners. The villas has large private pool with a big bath tub. It has a fine specious room nicely arranged with all amenities and very comfortable bed.   The hotel is within 5 minutes of the airport terminal. There is no aircraft noise nuisance as the hotel is set behind the restaurant. A very pleasant restaurant and very reasonably priced. If you are an aviation enthusiast like me you can see the aircraft taxiing and taking off across the road whilst enjoying your meal. Aviation Heaven. As it was 5 - walkable to/from airport - 500m from terminal, 250m from airport exit. You might even get a puppy escort. Transfer is available but not necessary. (we arrived 9:30pm). The bed was huge and a little too comfy. We had an early flight to Koh Samui the next day, so a included simple breakfast was fine. For cheap airport accommodation you will be impressed. If needed, internet is more than sufficient.

  We needed a place to stay for one night whilst travelling from the uk through to Khao Sok, further north. Being close to Phuket airport Mai Khao Bungalows fitted the bill perfectly but we did not know exactly what to expect. The only thing I regret is not drinking more Sam Song, which was readily available in the awesome minibar.
