  We stayed here 5 days in one of the family suites--a corner room with a large bed and two bunk beds. The views of Lake Maggiore and the lush vegetation were breathtaking from all vantage points. We slept at night with the windows flung open, enjoying the tropical breezes and the occasional showy thunder and lightning storm. Breakfast on the terrac... vad folk säger » e was a glorious spread. The staff was kind and helpful. We greatly appreciated the small fridge in the room, which allowed us to store drinks and sna - Stayed there 2nights and one day going south. We had a marvellous view from our room over the lake. It was a spacious family room with a balcony and a nice terrace. Great breakfast (included fresh fruit, yoghurt, muesli, different kinds of bread, etc. ) Small kids playground, and a tiny place down at the lake where you can swim. During the day we went to Ascona on the lake side where we rented a pedalo (waterfiets) with slide for an hour. Kids (6 and 8) thought they were in paradise!

  We selected and enjoyed a room with lake view and balcony - well worth the money. A nicely renovated hotel with excellent rooms, and stunning views right in the middle of Ascona's main piazza. - Reception staff friendly an helpful

  They have given us a well-prepared baby travel crib for our little one in our room, which has included a bed sheet, a duvet and a pillow for our 8 months old daughter! The hotel has also offered toiletries in the bathroom such as shower gel/shampoo, shower cap, nail polisher, shoehorn...etc. Very thoughtful for the guests! - Very friendly, helpfu... vad folk säger » l hosts. Great restaurant and the food was excellent. Continental beakfast. Clean and comfortable room. Central location in the old town. If travelling by bus from Lucarno, turn back up the street to the post office on the corner. Turn left and the hotel is approx 100 metres on your left, a 5 min walk.

  The staff was excellent and very friendly. The value for money is very good and our room was lighty, clean and quite. We would recommend to everyone this hotel. - The Location near Piazza is very convenient. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

  This location is perfect, center of where you want to be! We had a balcony which was delightful,overlooking the street with a piano player playing beautiful music across the street ! It was a bonus we didn't expect. - As Al Faro had no lift, we were given a room at Piazza Ascona next door for the same price, which was very kind nad very good. We ... vad folk säger » slept well.
