  The studio apartment was very good and over-looking the main tourist area. Yet it was not noisy as the air-conditioning and sound-proofing was good. The first day the studio was a hole-in the wall. But they apologised and cut a third of the room rent and moved us the next day. So when you book insist on the second floor apartment. - Perfect Locat... vad folk säger » ion!!!   Great location across street from Retiro park. Room decor was much better in person than photos showed on the internet. Easy walk to central shopping,restaurants, and museums. Much better value than other hotels in this upscale neighborhood. The Ritz and The Palace just around the corner and are way more expensive -- the rooms at the Savoy Petit P... vad folk säger » alace are not equivalent to those hotels, but still very nice in great neighborhood for 1/3 the price. - Fantastic hotel, overlooking retiro park. You heard no noise from other people staying in the hotel and the room was fabulous. Even had a laptop provided in the room with free wifi. Friendly staff and if you want to come back to the hotel at 6am they let you in no problem. Great location and a beautiful building, even the tourits on the tour bus took photos of the building! I would stay again and recommend to anyone.

  För den som vill bo centralt i Madrid till en billig penning är Hostal Puerta del Sol ett utmärkt alternativ. Här finns ingen lyx, rent och snyggt. Men framför allt vill jag lyfta fram läget, som ger det promenad avstånd till det mesta av intresse i staden. Glöm inte att utnyttja tunnelbanan till och från flygplatsen, endast en euro. - The ambiance... vad folk säger » was great and it is situated in the center of Madrid, it was the perfect place to stay. Furthermore, the breakfast was included and you have free internet access. - Great staff, great location, and the place was eternernally spotless! I stayed in a 4 star hotel the night before and couldn't even get a cup of tea in the room - these guys had breakfast bar open all hours. They deserve to do well.

  The hostal was located right at the Puerta Del Sol. The location was perfect for exploration of the city. The room was clean and the towels/sheets were changed out regularly. While there were daily protests in the plaza, we never felt unsafe. The lady who worked the front desk did not speak English, but this was not a problem for us. I would guess it is ab - We were with three people on à room. The space was more then we expected. We also had à balcony, super! The location in the middel of The city was also super!

  Although the hostel have simple furniture and no breakfast, we still feel comfortable to stay in this hostel since good values of the price. The location is right in the city center, and it has lots of restaurants, stores and attractions. All the distances you can reach just by walking. He speaks English with a Spanish accent, a little bit diffic - I've stayed at many hostels all around Spain by now, about 4 of them in Madrid alone, and this was by far one of THE best service we've ever had. Super clean. The price for the location is unbeatable. The Wifi was great. Outstanding service by attendant who assisted us. At one point I forgot my cell phone on the couch in the little lobby and he picked it up and left in our room with a note. How he knew it was ours, no idea. (Maybe process of elimination.) But so glad he did! Will definitely go
