  Located just a couple of miles outside of San Jose, Villa Maltés is the perfect place to escape the hubbub of the city. The rooms are clean, the setting is tranquil and it’s in easy reach of San Jose itself as well as numerous other small fishing towns located around the coast. The choice of restaurants in the - Location is great to visit beaches and enjoy views of natural park. San Jose is in less than 5 min by car, so no problem to find a place to grab some tapas or diner. Liked also the possibility to get some tapas right in the hotel, what is very convenient after a day of sunbathing and visiting. The hotel itself is really cozy, our room was clean and personnel was very helpful. Really enjoyed peace and quiet of this place. Great value for money - we will definitely come back for longer stay.

  Everything. 1St prize for the 'loo with a view' award (I have the photo to prove it)! We greatly enjoyed our stay here. It was quite chilly so the heating was very welcome. Big firm bed, fridge, bottle of water provded. We were given a map with all of the best spots to eat & see pointed out to us. Husband was impressed with 'mine hosts' tolerant & humerous forbearance at his rusty attempts at Spanish, - Out apartment was lovely and comfortable and clean. Lovely bed and it was so quiet. The owners are lovely and very knowledgable. They can tell you all the best beaches to go to and recommend restaurants. The breakfast was fab!! You will enjoy with fresh OJ and any toast you like. We wished we had stayed longer!

  This is the second time we've stayed in the Hostal Santuario in the last 2 years. San José is a fantastic little town in Cabo de Gata National Park, and definitely the place to stay! You have easy access to the park for trekking, beach, etc., but also you find yourself in a lively little town. We (again) asked for a room on the secon - Everything was astonishingly good. Although not many of the staff speak English they are very accommodating and helpful if you have a query. The breakfasts are wholesome and varied with everything you could need and expect. Whilst not overly large the bedrooms are very clean and comfortable, toiletries are provided daily and the mini fridge and free safe are a real bonus. The half board option proved very good value for money. The food served by excellent staff, in particular Yana,was interest

  The room was splendid with a view of the sea and we were able to open the window and listen to the waves crashing on the beach. The room was spacious and the bathroom simply huge.
