  Room exceptionally clean,staff very warm and helpful.Breakfast server with a smile by Your friendly chefs and staff. l would have rated excellent on facilities,but telephone was not working and had to go downstairs to order room service which was a nightmare. Food server was horrible,given wrong order drink,to top it all,it was delivered 1/30(one ... vad folk säger » and half) hout after l ordered,had to use ny cellphone to het it as it was very late and was tired of walking to and fro. That spoilt My whole stay as - The staff was very friendly and warm. We were treated very well. The location of the hotel was very central to most tourist attractions and there was a great vibe. The breakfast was very nice as well. The hotel was ideal for a family as the fridge, kettle with beverages and sink plus microwave was a bonus as it made it possible to save on costs by not having to eat out and enjoy meals in the hotel, appreciating the views in the dining area. The hotel gets a 10/10 from me and i really got value

  I stayed at the Tropicana in December 2010 and was not impressed at all. During my last stay I notced a remarkable improvement, i.e refurbishment, staff, etc. Well done! - The fact that it is on the beach front and our bus just dropped us at the door, that was awesome. Value for money as well.

  Although its in the city, you don't get to hear to city noise and the views from the hotel are very nice - From arrival to departure, we were made to feel that we were guests and not just people to fill rooms. We would stay there again when next we visit Durban.

  I loved the design. The room was beautiful. Clean. Huge pillows. Amazing shower. Young. Trendy. Quirky. Modern. All the elements combined provided an enjoyable stay. Dstv full bouquet provided, which was cool as well. Mini bar was pretty neat. The little courtyard which the room opened up to was superb. The pro's definetly outway the cons. I enjoyed my stay fully. - It's very classy for a B&B!!! the rooms are very tasteful, the service is amazing and Jo is just a darling!! She offered to get me a shuttle at the fraction of the price of a taxi and would also call for me a cab whenever i needed to move around. Then the breakfast....its a simple breakfast but they've done it in a very artistic way and it tastes yummy too!! Generally i looooved staying at the concierge...

  Excellent!!! Like others who have stated...I rarely leave comments ...I had read some negative comments which made me somewhat uncomfortable..wanted to stay on the Beach..but I am glad I chose Quarters..the staff was one of the Nicest and Friendliest I have ever encountered...breakfast was GREAT..Rooms perfect..I have traveled from Alaska to Cape... vad folk säger » town and a whole lot of places in between...so if you read negative comments..Please Disregard..great Indian Restuarant down the street ...Vintage...i - The staff were excellent; friendly service, more than accommodating. Room was perfect. Bathroom were lovely. The meals were delicious, room service was quick, and when I was sick for a day in bed, the staff were more than happy to check up and see if I needed anything. Very, very much appreciated and one of the nicest places to stay at a good rate. Highly recommended.

  The gate men, the receptionists and women staffers (more so from the restaurant, the JAM) were super. The displayed professionalism at all times and were extremely friendly. Lovely people who were helpful at all times.

  The special treats at night by closing the curtains, open of beds and chocolates were very special and a nice touch. The design and re-use of an old building is such a clever idea and most pleasing to the eye. The chef at breakfast as well as supper and presentation was excellent. Overall, everyone was friendly and efficient. The view was amazing ... vad folk säger » as well. In fact, we would like to rebook at the end of April again. - The venue is situated at the habour, so we could view the activities of the harbour which was interesting. The venue is also very peaceful and quite, so if you want to relax, away from the "city in the city", this is ideal. We also loved the lounge area outside in the courtyard, so if you want to have your meal or drinks outside the restaurant, it makes it an excellent option.
