Very warm welcome from the hosts Jim and Susan; they couldn't have been more accomodating; they took interest in their guests and were very helpful. B&B is freshly remodeled, very clean, tastefully decorated with a beautiful pooled back yard. Accomodation was spectular, a large room with a large ensuite and north and south decks and windows and twin beds for us. Breakfast was given a lot of thought a right down to fesh fruit cocktail and Sue taking time to cook fresh bread in the morning. J.
alla recensioner » A great and luxurious guest house with bamboo-theme. Nice garden and cool- off swimming pool. Very friendly and devoted owners. One of the best breakfasts we had with French cheese, fresh fruit, freshly baked muffins and bread and eggs prepared the way you want them. We stayed in a very spacious room with own balcony (garden-side). Bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower. Close to Hermanus village and one of the very few villages in SA where you can walk safely at night-time from and to city c. The warm welcome from Jim and Sue who didn't mind us turning up before 10 A.M. after an early flight into Cape Town. Our room was quickly made ready without any fuss. Our room was spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated & had a good-sized bathroom with bath and separate shower. The breakfasts were very good and there was a pretty garden with a small pool to relax in after a day out. There were good views of the mountains behind and there was a footpath to the cliffs just across t. From start to finish, was a fabulous experience - a warm welcome from sue and Jim made us instantly feel at home, then great recommendations for eating in town - just a pleasant walk away The room was spotless, modern and well equipped - very comfy bed ensured a great nights sleep The highlight however was the breakfast - stunningly presented and tasting wonderful - lovely selection of goodies to feast on especially the home made lemon curd Extremely good value for money considering how good . Very friendly & helpful hosts. New house, extremely clean, little garden & pool area, everything well looked after. Stylish decoration (bamboo is in the focus - even fluffy cotton-bamboo towels) - we liked it. Room with a good size, comfortable bed, little balcony with chairs & table. New bathroom, big shower, bathtub, all looked fresh and very very clean. Good breakfast, nice fresh fruit salad. The boardwalk in walking distance. Absolutely recommendable. Quite simply this is probably the best guest house we have ever stayed in, and believe me we have stayed in quite a few over the years. Everything is clean, fresh and well designed. Our hosts, Sue and Jim were welcoming and obviously very experienced in the hospitality business. We were even invited to join them and other guests for a glass of wine and a chat after dinner one night on comfortable loungers under the stars - it was delightful. The couple who run this place could not have been more helpful and attentive - nothing was too much trouble and they really do a fantastic breakfast! The room we had was v. spacious, providing a small fridge which was v. useful and great bathroom! Thank you for looking after us so well. The only thing I didn't like was the little fish pond at the entrance - in my opinion much too small for the bigger fish. Could not fault it. Just disappointed that we had to leave!. On one of the days when it was quite hot despite having a fan in the room we could have benefited from air-conditioning. This really wouldn't stop us coming again but thought it was worth mentioning. It is impossible to find anything.. The only thing that is not there is an airconditioning but there is a fan available. When booking we requested ocean and mountain views..lots of mountain views sadly no ocean view...perhaps the breakfast menu could be change...you can only have so much bacon and eggs. There wasn't anything we could find fault with!. Nothing. There was absolutely nothing to dislike. None. Nothing. nothing. Faultless.
